MT-16 Front Tire

First impression, the tire knobs feel a bit tall and flexy for hard pack conditions (silty clay) in southwest pa. Still a good tire, and I have adjusted to their feel.

I mounted both front and rear MT16 for the MO National NEPG. I will say it was a slop on race day & I"m really happy with the MT16, they really hookup well! Am going to order more of these for my other sets of wheels pretty soon.

Hooks up real well on the trails, logs and rocks. A little loose on gravel roads. Only have one ride on them.

Pirelli MT16 Front

Put a set on my WR450. Have ridden them mostly dry hard pack conditions, with a lot of big rocks. Have been using Michelin S-12 for a while. These hooked up in these conditions, have shown no signs of chunking. Seem to absorb the trail under you, feels softer, smoother over the trail debris. Waiting to try them in the muddy Fall conditions here.

These are great tires! Traction is excellent for the muddy, dirty trails here. The side lugs do a great job of holding the corners. Good feel too.

Great overall tire

Fantastic all purpose tire. Not the best for any specific conditions but works very predictably everywhere. Tire will gradually lose it's grip WAY before actually letting go on ALL types of surfaces. Have owned 4 of these along with 20+ specific condition tires.

Great all around tire

This is the best most prdictable tire available. Not the best for any one condition, but always grips extremely well and gives the rider warning that it is slipping WAY before actually letting go. (kind of un-nerving at first) Works WELL any and everywhere, rocks-stick like glue, roots-stick again, dry-sticks to its warning zone, asphalt-drag the pegs while squirming, mud-wanders but keeps bike up, gravel-oh well, sand-not that much here. Keeps up it's performance level until wore slap out.

Awesome Tire for Rocky Terrain

I have this tire matched to a Pirelli MT-43 rear. What a great setup for rocky terrain through loose dirt, through loose cobbles and sharp rocks. The tire does very well on everything. Not bad in mud either. The jury is still out on wear, as I have only one long ride on the new tires.

Amazing single track tire

I ride single track (rocky, rooted, muddy, snow, slippery when wet!) all over Colorado (with some mountain pass riding mixed in). This is the 3rd tire I've had on my KTM and nothing has given me as much confidence. It just dances over everything. First ride on this tire I was out on a full day ride. The forest service bridges were soaked from rain and slick as ice. Every other rider's front tire would completely lock up. I tested the front brake and the tire never locked up.

Pirelli MT16 front

If you been searching and reviewing tires trying to find the best one, I can tell you this Pirelli is overall the best out there. In other words, if you want a tire that is good in all condition this is it. Just look at the grip pattern. Rear is just as good.

Good Grabber!!

put about 300 miles on this front tire. It grabs well in mud and hard terrain, also had it in sand and peat gravel seems to perform well!!!

Pirelli MT 16 Front

I ride in New England (the Berkshire's in MA) where it is mostly roots, rocks and mud. The MT 16 front is very predictable and keeps very good contact in the wet rocks and roots while doing a good job of clearing out mud. They wear well and maintain grip even when those great sharp edges wear away. They usually last for 2 rears. They balance cost, durability and grip very well for this non racer, older serious trail rider. I jumped on an extra set when they were on sale with free shipping and saved a bundle. Shipping was fast too!

MT 16 Front

Awesome front tire. Amazing grip on a vareity of surfaces. DOT approval is an excellent benefit for my dual sport. Only problem is that it chunked off some side knobs and lead me to replace the tire early.

Bad experience

I ran this as my first front tire on a recently Installed TuBliss system. I ran 8 oz.'s of slime and 12 PSI. I got a puncture flat on the second lap of a Hare Scramble that I was leading. Not a good experience. I can't say how the tire performs with a traditional tube in New England terrain.
