Terrible grip

Don't get this front tire for racing. Or anything, really. I have a good amount of experience with this tire off-road on mostly dry desert terrain, and I absolutely hate it. It has no side-to-side/ cornering grip. It just won't turn. You have to set up perfectly for every little micro adjustment you try to make with the front wheel. You can't steer the bike around under you. It generally has good straight-line braking traction, just don't try to turn or dive into a corner or you'll wash out suddenly and be in pain. Not too great on-road either. Brake very slowly, or the knobs will become ramped fairly quickly. Just not a good tread pattern in my opinion. I liked the Kenda Budds Creek, but they discontinued it. :'( I'm a little confused at all the good ratings here. The rear tire is decent. It hooks up well, and lasts a while, if you get one from a good batch (I have had one that lost all of its side knobs somehow). But the front just bums me out. It's just a bad tread pattern for anything other than traveling in a straight line on flat dirt. Would not recommend it to anyone. Beware the fake reviews!! :)

Almost indestructible!!

I trail ride for the most part in very jagged rocks of Kentucky and this is the only tire that has been able to hold up to the terrain. I had them on my bored and CFR 250 and now on my RMZ 450 which also has lots of motor work done, and theyre holding nicely.

Good desert tire

Just did 140 miles of desert on it. Lot's of sharp rocks. No chunking. Only slight wear on leading edge of knobbies. This held up to desert with intense heat and lots of sharp rocks better than any tire I've used before. Have this mounted to a KTM XCW 300. Good grip on front and lets you get more aggressive in the loose sandy stuff. Rear hooks-up well.

Maxxis Front tire

This is the best Dirt bike tire I've used. All conditions. I run it on my vintage enduro racer. NO problems encountered. Do not expect it to hold up as long as a hard rubber compound tire.

Good tire

I ride in loose rock and mud with a lot of hills. This tire hooks up well. I plan to put one on my race bike as well.

Man I love this Moster tire !

This thing straight HOOKS UP!. I run it on my DRZ 400S model even though it isn't a DOT tire. I still get as much wear as did on the last Pirelli MT 21 or a Dunlop 606 I bought from Motorcycle Superstore. I ride 80/20 dirt. Loam, loose stuff, hard pack, even sand, I can't say enough good things about this 120/100/18 tire. It's no buzzier than a 80/20 D/S tire. Just don't totally crack it open everywhere on pavement and you'll get good wear off it.
