About a month and so far, no problems
April 30, 2013(Virginia Beach, VA)
Could not believe how light it was when I received it. It truly felt as if there was nothing in the box. Installation wasn't too bad and starts are solid every time. Although it will have it's own rating, I also purchased the matching charger and it's a breeze to operate. You're either charging or storing, once you decide what you want to do; it's as simple as pushing a button. We'll see how long it will last and that will determine if I'll purchase again.
Not for Commuters
April 25, 2013(Pescadero, CA)
Easy to install, and super light. However, if you moto has ANY drain on the battery, and you commute, don't bother with these. They have no where near the capacity of a lead acid battery, and thus they will be discharged in a little over two weeks. Also, these are weak. It could barely turn over my FZ6.

My Wife bought me this battery because she got tired of having to jump my bike when it got a little cold outside. I tell you what this battery is hands down AWESOME even when my bike does not want to start, this battery makes it start I love it!!!

As everyone has said, this battery is super light. I can't really give an opinion on battery drain as I live in FL, which means my bike rarely sits unused for more than 2 weeks. Starts up everytime. I've been happy so far.

I have one in both of my race bikes. One over a year. Bikes may sit a month or 2 between races. Always starts up without the use of a battery tender.
K1600 accessory problems
March 09, 2013(Norfolk, VA)
Purchased the battery for my k1600 GT. Rode for 2 hours using heated gear, ie heated jacket and gloves. Got on the bike after a break and my bike wouldn't start. Turned off all the gear and started right up. Called Shorai Customer Service, they upgraded my battery(for a small charge) from the 21amp bat to their largest 36amp bat.
Hit or Miss Quality
March 09, 2013(Pescadero, CA)
I received and installed my Shorai battery into my Yamaha FZ6 in early January 2013. The battery was charged, and showed good voltage. I went on a long ride, and parked it until Feb. In the middle of Feb, the FZ6 would still power up no problem, and was ridden a few times. Now, in the beginning of March, it's a no-go. The battery is totally dead, showing 1.6V on the meter, making it not quite three weeks since the last ride. Charging system on the moto is in perfect working order.

My first Lithium battery appeared almost dead after leaving it on store for 6 months. However, after calling the mfg. they informed me that some times the battery goes to sleep after sitting on store for a long time. So, I went back to the bike and cycled between hitting the starter and letting it sit for a minute and after about 6 tries it came back to life and started right up.
Almost too light!

I thought MCSS had sent me an empty box until I opened it and found my new battery. Installation was okay - mine needed a lot of foam for a secure fit. Not sure cold cranking amps is any better - bike still takes a bit to actually turn over in the mornings. Only time will tell if it is truly worth the added expense.

It works as well as any brand new battery. Only time will tell if it's worth the extra cost.
