I used this to shorten a Renthal 520 chain and it was easy, fast, and efficient. How did I live without this tool for all those years? I recommend this tool!

Description said good for some 630 chains. Not for mine. Would not push the pin out enough to get the chain broken or get the tool out of the chain link. Solved by backing out the tool pin far enough to use needle nose pliers to place a 4mm-long, small-diameter flat head screw between the link-pin and the end tip of the tool pin. Then it pushed the link-pin the rest of the way out with no problem. Everything else was perfect.

Do not try to use this tool on a 530 size chain! I received the tool and tried to use it the next day. The tool broke before the pin moved at all. It should work fine on a bicycle.

very happy
