Sure it does not secure your bike but in my humble opinion it is a very good deterrent and a must have. Pretty loud pretty sensitive and simple!
Great until you drop it :)

Dont drop it, this thing goes off like crazy. It hit concrete from waist level, part of the cover came off (plastic inner normally up against disk) and the thing kept going off. Had to take it completely apart in my truck with a rag over it..... at 3am... neighbors hate me after that one. Other than that I use this in Mexico during baja at a patrolled parking lot. Each morning my bike was still there. The only times it went off was when I was trying to unlock it and took too long.
Great

Great product! I keep my bike outside in a yard, and this alarm can be heard from a great distance. My gsxr is my daily ride so I feel really comfortable having these xena products on my bike. I can easily take this disc lock in my trunk, and always feel safe leaving my bike out, while I'm at school, the movies, my gf, and pretty much anywhere. This is coming from a guy that lives in Los Angeles area. Not a very trustworthy city...
Solid device, and very loud!

This isn't some cheap, flimsy lock! Very heavy, very solid, and ear-splittingly loud. Alarm speaker is affixed to the inside of the lock, so it can't be easily punctured. Lock will fit just about any rotor size. Tamper sensor is quite sensitive. I use the XX6 on the rear and XX10 on the front, so if somebody attempts to tamper with one, the activity sets off the other.

Bought this intending to use it in the future. It worked fine. Then it sat on my desk for a year. I go to use it again and I can barely hear the alarm. I figured the battery was dead so I bought new ones. Nope. The alarm itself is junk. Gonna have to buy a new alarm after I bought $10 useless batteries. Oh and the lock jammed up the first time I used it, and I had to play with it for an hour just to get it unlocked. Fine whatever. But the alarm part really pisses me off.
serves it's purpose

For the money, this a good alarm. It is easy to lock/unlock. The alarm could be louder but it is loud enough to turn heads. The alarm lasts for a short time. I live on the second floor of my apartment and I can hear it go off. Sensitivity wise, it passes my expectations. If someone sits on your bike or tries to take your cover, it will go off. I haven't changed the battery yet, it looks like it could be a pain.

I went to the Zena website before ordering to confirm that the model I ordered would fit my bike. Zena listed my bike as compatible with the model I ordered, but it was too short to fit over my disc. Alarm module was impossible to remove, had to bang it on the carpet to finally dislodge it. Broke the tab lock trying to remove module.

Sensitivity for the alarm seems to vary, but is never bad. If someone tries to roll the bike, surely the alarm will sound. No complaints.
