So far so good
I have had bicycles stolen from me during my childhood, so I am a firm believer in "more is better" when it comes to security. I have been using this lock now, and read the reviews saying that it typically malfunctions in 30-60 days.
I'm about 30 days in and the only "glitch" I've noticed is the one I've read about - one day, the alarm set itself off as I walked away from the bike... twice. I went back and reset it and it has worked fine ever since.

Xena Disc Lock - Sensitive Alarm!
So far I have been very pleased with the disc lock although I don't believe the alarm is as loud as the 110dB advertised.
I have found that the sensors in the lock slot need to be kept very clean in order for the alarm to set properly. A little aggravating but, worth the minor effort. I have noticed that the alarm is very sensitive and can be tripped with very little pressure, even the swish of a cats tail will do it. This tends to cause some false alarms and a scattering of cats. But given the alternative of not knowing when the bike is being tampered with, I'll take the occasional false alarm. A good deterrent investment for the price.

Disc Lock & Alarm - just what the doctor ordered
My Kawasaki 900 has 7 mm disc brake holes, and I found only one lock in that size -- the Xena, which adds the alarm feature as a plus. The construction is impressive and would present a challenge to cut or pry off. Besides, with the alarm sounding off, I don't think anyone would bother. The alarm is loud enough, but limited given the small battery and physical size of the lock but hey, it's one more link in the security chain. Bottom line, I like it and think you will too. As always, Superstore is a pleasure to deal with.

Xena disc lock with alarm
The lock fits great and the alarm works great. The alarm does have a tendency to start going off when your taking the lock off. but I figure its worth a couple of weird stares here and there than having my bike jacked. only other little thing to complain about is the paint rubs off easy, but who really cares that much, its saving your bike. Overall it’s a great product and would definitely buy it again.

Good Lock
The lock comes as described and the alarm is very loud. Sometimes, I have trouble fitting the key in when the lock is not upright on the wheel. This can be problem because very little movement will cause the alarm to go off. I guess I shouldn't complain though since it does it's job.

Security feels good
I use this lock every night on my Harley and it gives me peace of mind knowing my bike has that extra protection from would be intruders. The alarm could be a bit louder but it still is loud enough to get somebody’s attention from a medium distance away. Together with it's locking the front wheel from turning and the alarm, it is money well spent.

Two products in one.
The Xena XR1 is a great product. A disc lock and alarm in one is genius. I like it because it doesn't drain my battery and it adds extra security. The push to lock feature makes this thing simple. If you're careful, you can unlock the lock without setting off the alarm. One minor downside to this product is that you have to change the alarm battery every 8 months. This thing looks like it could take a beating.

If it wasn’t for the alarm I would have rode off with this thing on my bike numerous times! They made this idiot proof, lol. It’s so easy to put on and take off. The only thing that would have made this better would have been if it came with a remote that beeped when the alarm went off because you can’t hear it from far away. But it’s a great deterrent in a busy parking lot. great item. a little pricey, but I think it was well worth the investment!

The Xena is small, convenient, very handy to have around, and works like a charm. Sometimes, when I go to unlock it from the wheel, no matter how I tiptoe around the alarm will go off, making the unlocking suddenly an urgent matter. No biggie. I really love having this handy little bit of insurance. A definite KEEPER.

This is a fine piece of machinery expect for two things the key to unlock it will not go in and unlock the Disk lock with out setting off your alarm. Also it has a set of small batteries which since the alarm goes off every day IN MY EAR will probably die soon.

XENA Disc Lock with Alarm
It is a nice and durable lock that's for sure. It is easy to put into place on the front disc but it can be difficult to remove without the alarm going off. The alarm does work as advertised and it will draw attention when it goes off.

Great system, very convenient. Would be nice if you could adjust the volume. For less sensitivity place at 6 o'clock position on the disc brake. Well worth the money - as always motorcycle superstore gave great service.

Xena- Disc Brake Lock
Bought it for a trip to Fla., seems very well made, and locks/unlocks very easily. However I question the security factor, it seems to me that just by putting a gloved hand over the device, it can be muffled enough to be unheard. The disc lock seems to be very effective in preventing movement of the bike.

Good product, although gotta keep the LED lens clean so the alarm engages all the time. Gets lots of dust in the LED lens area for the sensor. But works good, alarm is loud without being annoying, and will remind you if you try to ride off before causing damage to you bike.

Insurance
This is a nice piece of security that fits in the palm of your hand! The lock is very sturdy IMO and the siren it emits is very loud, it even chirps off a warning when moved before the long squeal. I did have a fear about forgetting that I have this lock in place, but trust me once it goes off, you'll know it's there.

Great Disc lock. I like the loud sound, keeps me from forgetting to remove this lock. Keep my two bikes on a Condor stand, so I need to use this lock to secure my bike at night. (Cannot use the fork lock)

"Peace of Mind" and a Bargain!
I never put a price on having "peace of mind" when it comes to security, but here's one that came at a bargain! I am very happy with the Xena disc lock system w/alarm, and never hesitate to trust it to do its thing! I used have to park my bike always within a clear line of vision as there are too many people ready to mess with other people's property. This can be very inconvenient at times when wanting to eat at restaurants without a clear view of the street. With the Xena disc lock, I can park down the block or even around the corner, knowing that any motion will set the audible alarm to sound. I haven't had any issues of "false" alarms as the bright yellow color also works as a deterrent. All in all, it was one of the best purchases I made for my motorcycle. I am very happy with this disc lock. Although the pin is not very wide...it's adequate to do the job. The alarm is also not very loud (the beeping is loud, but the siren is not). The motion sensor is NOT very sensitive. I can rock the bike and move the handlebars without it going off. However it WILL alarm if bike is uprighted. The Xena XR1 is compact, mobile security that will not affect your bikes battery (it is self powered). That, in itself, makes it a GREAT lock! For the price?...a MUST have!
