Xena Disc Lock with Alarm
  • The Xena XR1 is a convenient and cost effective theft deterrent that does double duty as a disc lock as well as a piercing 110db alarm: All this in a compact and attractive designed disc lock that fits in the palm of your hand.
  • The XR1's body and key barrel are designed to withstand picking, tampering and blunt shock. Simply attach the lock to your bikes disc and the alarms sophisticated electronic unit arms itself; any motion or metal strike shock sets off a very clear warning to any would-be thief, and makes any sustained attempt to move your bike very uncomfortable and conspicuous indeed.
  • While the main advantage of this disc lock is theft deterrence, it's other key advantage with the built in alarm eliminates the possibility of you riding away before removing the disc lock and wrecking a fork leg or brake caliper or both. While many other style disc locks typically have a reminder strap or some other device to let you not forget you have your disc lock installed, the XR1's on-board 110db alarm makes it pretty obvious, even with a helmet and earplugs, to not start riding away until the lock has been removed.

Bao Tang San Diego,  CA Xena - Disc lock alarm Bought this disc lock awhile back. Although the feature of this disc lock is really neat, I have to say it does have some flaws. For instance, the alarm would go off every now and then without anything moving it. That could be really annoying. I guess the motion sensor is really sensitive. But for a disc lock with an alarm feature, this is a really good buy. Motorcycle superstore has a great price on it. Overall, I would recommend.

v.double.e Canoga Park,  CA So far so good I have had bicycles stolen from me during my childhood, so I am a firm believer in "more is better" when it comes to security. I have been using this lock now, and read the reviews saying that it typically malfunctions in 30-60 days. I'm about 30 days in and the only "glitch" I've noticed is the one I've read about - one day, the alarm set itself off as I walked away from the bike... twice. I went back and reset it and it has worked fine ever since.

Alan Maryville,  TN Xena Disc Lock - Sensitive Alarm! So far I have been very pleased with the disc lock although I don't believe the alarm is as loud as the 110dB advertised. I have found that the sensors in the lock slot need to be kept very clean in order for the alarm to set properly. A little aggravating but, worth the minor effort. I have noticed that the alarm is very sensitive and can be tripped with very little pressure, even the swish of a cats tail will do it. This tends to cause some false alarms and a scattering of cats. But given the alternative of not knowing when the bike is being tampered with, I'll take the occasional false alarm. A good deterrent investment for the price.

Stuart Furgang Houston,  TX Disc Lock & Alarm - just what the doctor ordered My Kawasaki 900 has 7 mm disc brake holes, and I found only one lock in that size -- the Xena, which adds the alarm feature as a plus. The construction is impressive and would present a challenge to cut or pry off. Besides, with the alarm sounding off, I don't think anyone would bother. The alarm is loud enough, but limited given the small battery and physical size of the lock but hey, it's one more link in the security chain. Bottom line, I like it and think you will too. As always, Superstore is a pleasure to deal with.

Matt porterville,  CA Xena disc lock with alarm The lock fits great and the alarm works great. The alarm does have a tendency to start going off when your taking the lock off. but I figure its worth a couple of weird stares here and there than having my bike jacked. only other little thing to complain about is the paint rubs off easy, but who really cares that much, its saving your bike. Overall it’s a great product and would definitely buy it again.

Michael Houston,  TX Good Lock The lock comes as described and the alarm is very loud. Sometimes, I have trouble fitting the key in when the lock is not upright on the wheel. This can be problem because very little movement will cause the alarm to go off. I guess I shouldn't complain though since it does it's job.

Charles Caldwell Mountain View,  HI Security feels good I use this lock every night on my Harley and it gives me peace of mind knowing my bike has that extra protection from would be intruders. The alarm could be a bit louder but it still is loud enough to get somebody’s attention from a medium distance away. Together with it's locking the front wheel from turning and the alarm, it is money well spent.

edward cruz dallas,  GA Xena disc brake lock w/ alarm If it wasn’t for the alarm I would have rode off with this thing on my bike numerous times! They made this idiot proof, lol. It’s so easy to put on and take off. The only thing that would have made this better would have been if it came with a remote that beeped when the alarm went off because you can’t hear it from far away. But it’s a great deterrent in a busy parking lot. great item. a little pricey, but I think it was well worth the investment!

Thomas Riverbank,  CA Two products in one. The Xena XR1 is a great product. A disc lock and alarm in one is genius. I like it because it doesn't drain my battery and it adds extra security. The push to lock feature makes this thing simple. If you're careful, you can unlock the lock without setting off the alarm. One minor downside to this product is that you have to change the alarm battery every 8 months. This thing looks like it could take a beating.
