Great Little Charger - Saves Batteries
Battery Tender trickle chargers are a must to prevent deep discharge during winter months and I'm told they even prolong battery life. I lost a new $100 battery a couple years ago when it sat through the winter without a trickle charger and went into deep discharge - would not take a charge any longer. Now Battery Tenders are on all my dirt bikes, and even my lawnmower. Just wire the included quick-connect cord to the battery and tie-wrap it somewhere there is easy access to connect the charger.

The BT Jr works great and appears to be a well made product. I attached the rings to my battery and now all I have to do is pop off the rear seat and plug it in. Only issue, if it could even be called that, is that the transformer portion is so large that it takes up a lot of space on the outlet/power strip.

Because of it's low power output, it's best used on motorcycle and other small batteries; use a unit with more capacity for car batteries and the like.
This is the best product for keeping your battery in great shape when you can't ride. Great for use in winter months when the snow and ice prevent regular outings on the bike.

After a few seasons of charging on a standard charger, I purchased this small under the seat charger. It fit great, it is easy to hide the connecting cable, and works to both charge and maintain a charge on the battery. This thing tends to the battery just fine.
Good points:
Float charge won't overcharge/pop a battery if you walk off and forget about it for a few months.
Pigtail for permanent attachment to battery makes it less hassle for hard to access batteries.
Cover for pigtail keeps water out, won't short if it gets rained on.
Pigtail connector design means you can use one battery tender for multiple bikes, just by getting more pigtails, and rotating the charger every week or three.
Bad points;
Can't tell how much longer it will take to finish charging.
This is only a problem if you stumble across that rare nice day in the middle of winter, and haven't plugged the thing in for a while, or your battery is flat.
if you forget to put the cover on the pigtail (the part that stays on the battery) in the rain, it can short and kill your battery.

Exactly what I needed
My motorcycle battery has been having problems holding its change over the winter (here it rarely goes below freezing). With this little baby, I can recharge it and keep its charge over a long period of time so that when I need the bike to start, I'm not stuck with a battery with not enough juice to do the job. Small device, easy to connect to the battery (still have to be careful), fool proof, and cheap. Beats paying 10 $ at the motorcycle shop every time your battery voltage is too low.

I just opened it up and it looks great. The manufacturer claims that it can be short circuited indefinitely and the polarity reversed with no harm to either the tender or the battery. I'm sure that at some point I will put that to the test. For now, a great little charger at a fantastic price.

A must have for bikes with a battery
Most of the bikes with electric start have a battery. These are usually small, and do not hold a good charge for long periods without running(more than 3-4 weeks) The Battery tender Jr is just the thing for those situations. They come with alligator stule clamps, or permanent wiring so you just have to plug it in and forget it. I bought 2(on sale) one for my Yamaha TTR225 and one for my 20' Bayliner boat!

When we bought my girlfriends 97 CBR600F3 the P.O had it fitted for the battery tender & all we needed to make it work, was the charging unit. I found it on sale from mc-superstore for $20 & it instantly became a stocking stuffer this past x-mas. For the winter time this comes is really nice. Well it finally happened!! Living in North Carolina I ride basically year around so I have never had the need for a battery charger but after a recent cold weather mountain trip I found that I had left my GPS on overnight in a very COLD garage. Needless to say the next morning my battery was drained. Fortunately I had another bike up there and drove back to Raleigh on it. I immediately went to MC Superstore to check out chargers; to my surprise they had a great sale on the Battery Tender Jr. Charger so I ordered one.

I've had a regular Tender for 15 yrs. and got the Jr. for my second bike. As the original, the Jr. works flawlessly. I like the blinking green light indicating 80% charge. It is also compact enough to take on a road trip if you so desire. The long cord is a plus and the connection is the same as original, so you can use any style Battery Tender on any bike equipped with the BT yoke.

I own 3 of these and they work great for their size and cost. I have kept your standard 6 mo life motorcycle batteries for over 5 seasons with the use of the Jr. And you don’t have to take your bike apart to keep the battery fresh, just plug it into the adapter they send you to attach to the battery and you’re ready!! It does not have other features that you can "see" with the others, but as long as it works, who cares to see what it’s doing? I highly recommend one if you like to be ready to go any time.

The BT Junior is a simplified version of the BT Plus, which is what I normally buy but for the price the Jr. is perfect for long term winter storage of my lawn equipment and 5.0 Mustang batteries. It may not look as modern as some of the newer chargers and lacks the bells and whistles too, but for a basic charger the Battery Tender Jr. is hard to beat.

Review of Battery Tender - Junior Charger
I bought this one for a friend. I still have the original hooked to the battery of my bike in the garage (it's winter time). I've found that the Battery Tender let's me leave the battery in the bike. It keeps the battery in top operating condition at all times, and it extends the life of your bikes battery. I now get about 5 years out of a battery, instead of 2 or 3 years.
You can't go wrong with this product.

I have used a Battery Tender - Junior for over 5 years and they are a must have for almost everyone. Overcharging is a thing of the past because of the smart chip technology. Touring bikes especially need constant recharging because of the continual drain caused by the on-board electronics. This is the 2nd battery tender charger we have purchased. We use the 1st for our rescue boat and the junior is used for our ATV and an MCI trailer. The Junior charger came w/ 2 sets of wiring. One set is permanently attached to our ATV battery. The junction plug is easily accessible and has a dust cap built right in. The 2nd set has alligator clips so we can attach it to our generator battery and brake battery on our Mass casualty trailer as needed. The charger can be left on for days with the float mode so there is no chance of overcharging. inexpensive products that keep our equipment always ready.

Great price (19.95) with the features needed for keeping a stored battery ready for action and in great condition. I like the ability to attach a "pig-tail" to the battery so it can be charged without removing the battery. Not sure about durability, but others I know have equipment made by this manufacturer and it holds up well. The Battery Tender Jr. is small (bonus) with a long cord to reach plugs far from the bike. Glad I bought it.

A useful tool
Functions perfectly and is very sophisticated for such a low priced charger. I installed the pigtails which were included. The connector hangs slightly below the battery box cover, and the unit can be attached in two seconds. It seems to charge fairly quickly, even though the amperage is quite small. The connectors for the "permanent" cable are a little bulky, if you have a tight battery box, it may be difficult to mount this cable. Other than that, works great. The alligator clips work well.

I purchased two of these over a month ago, one for my Harley and one for the riding mower. So far these things work exactly as advertised, keeping both batteries fully charged and ready to go. They come with several hook-up options and all cords are included. I have the mower hooked up with the included spring clips like you see on jumper cables, and the Harley has the permanent "ring style" hook-up with the pig-tail routed to the left side cover for quick and easy connection. I now wish I had purchased one more for the kids Honda Rebel. Great item at a good price.

The accessory cable on my Kawasaki Concours 14 feeds straight off the battery so I simply plugged the end of the Tender cable into it, plug the adapter unit into the wall outlet in my garage and was good to go.
