Frank Lido Beach,  NY Shoei - J-Wing Helmet The matte black finish is a nice look. The fit is as advertised, The cheek pads are a little tight but will wait for them to compress. I can ride with the visor up but was quite comfortable with it down on a chilly drizzly night. The helmet feels light and aerodynamic. I can ride with my brother in-law who prefers a brain bucket and not look geeky.

Motoneta Brooklyn,  NY Fantastic..... After having other open face helmets I can say that this one excels in design and features. The shield is wide and locks in place with no chance of an unexpected lift. The open portion at the bottom of it provides just the right amount of air flow without bugs on your face. The inner liner detaches for washing and the fastening strap is padded so it doesn't rub against your skin. Fit and finish are top notch as with any other Shoei product and it is also Snell approved which is quite a badge for an open face helmet. I am a big fan of Shoei... I also own an X-Eleven. They are best. Expensive?.... Not at all !. It's your noggin inside !!!

John Shreveport,  LA J-Wing short term review The helmet is very comfortable and appears well made. The flip-up shield is very nice for drinking water and sitting at stop lights on hot days. Since I have only had it for about a month, my durability score is just a guess.

C.C. Honolulu,  HI Shoei- J-wing Great helmet. Highest quality, as expected from Shoei. Have a full face, also have a DOT half helmet, but this J-wing is the most comfortable and enjoyable of them all. I use this all the time now. Highly recommended. Worth the money.

Benny San Francisco,  CA Very good overall The J-wing has a very nice fit and finish. When the shield is not completely lowered the wind noise is considerable. As said by others there is very clear with in my opinion very little distortion. Be careful though, the shield can still be scratched. It is a good idea to use the bag that comes with it, when carrying the helmet around. The vents work pretty well in cooler. So far only been used in weather that is on the cool side and its worked out pretty well.

Blair Loney Red Deer,  AB Shoei-J-wing Helmet The product itself appeared to be durable and beautifully finished however fitment seems to be incredibly small. My wife and I had gone to several dealerships to try on helmets in order to know what size to order. After trying on many different brands of helmets we decided that our sizes were a small for her and a medium for me. I was thinking that even if the small helmet didn't fit my wife she could wear the medium and we would order a large for me. When the lids came in even the medium would not fit my wife’s head comfortably. The helmets were returned and more will be ordered from Motorcycle Superstore.

Biker Harley Gary Bakersfield,  CA Shoei's J-Wing Helmets I own several Shoei helmets. Normally, a Shoei helmet is a quality item. The J-Wing helmet seems to be a bit of an aberration in Shoei quality. The problem lies with the inner helmet lining. The snaps securing the liner appear too flimsy causing the lining to unsnap frequently when you put on the helmet. I own two J-Wings. The first helmet was returned for warranty work because a permanent liner anchor pulled out of the shell and the second helmet seems to have flimsy snaps holding the liner causing one or more snaps to become undone when putting on the helmet. I've never had this problem with any other model Shoei helmet so the inside liner attachment problems seem to be peculiar to the J-Wing model. The helmet would be terrific if the liner were attached and anchored more securely.

Al Moretti Hopewell Junction,  NY Shoei J-Wing I've been wearing the J-Wing for about a month and must say that it far exceeded my expectations. I found the helmet to be a perfect fit (based on the head size tables), very quite, comfortable, and best of all,... it opens up the view of my bike and the road due to its open face design. The slots for those who wear glasses such as my self is right on. On top of all that, I think it's a good looking helmet to boot. Definitely worth the money... Strongly recommended especially for cruiser riders...

A.B. Coyle Oxford,  MS Best 3/4 helmet I've worn The J-Wing is the best 3/4 helmet I've worn in 50 years of motorcycling. It's the best helmet I've ever worn. Period. The fit is just about perfect for my head, which is just good luck. The face shield stays securely in any position I select, and seals well when closed. The vents work better than similar vents on other helmets I've owned. I give this helmet an unqualified top rating.

Joe Kreyling Burlington,  KY Great Helmet that fits much better than the others I really like this helmet as it is the only one that fits like a glove. All other helmets put pressure on my forehead and caused a headache and pain just 30 minutes down the road. This helmet is shaped different than the others and just fits better. The only thing I wish were different is that the face shield tends to whistle when put all the way down. Also when wearing the helmet while riding with a windshield this is also quite a bit of noise as the wind hits the top of the helmet which can grow old very quickly.

Glen Bakersfield,  CA Shoei maintains leadership The Shoei J-Wing is another great helmet from Shoei. I own other Shoei helmets (and have tried other brands) and you can always count on quality from Shoei. They make excellent helmets and the J-Wing is the latest edition to their excellent line of headgear. A Shoei costs more than many other brands but you get true value for the money.

Terry in Houston Houston,  Prince Edw Shoei J-Wing It's a great helmet for a cruiser person. Even at moderate speeds you'll notice the slight, cooling breeze. It gets hot and humid in Texas but this thing let's you focus on riding. Noise is less than my last 3/4 helmet but I recommend a little foam stuffing in the ear pockets to beat the harmonics. You get some wind noise but not objectionable. They priced it right - I wouldn't pay $450 but it would be a steal at $300.

Clinton Ross Boston,  MA Shoei J-Wing helmet Snell 2005 approval on open-face helmets does not come easy. The J-Wing is a fine helmet for speeds 70mph/120kph and under. Over 90/155 noise is horrific and forehead pressure becomes uncomfortable. At all speeds some wind noise is present. At US$400 it could/should be better. The silver lettering graphics ARE removable; gently use fingernail to remove the silver and Goo-Gone to remove the glue. Four stars out of five.
