Great helmet
Cons: It's a little noisy, but not bothersome. Sometimes the top vents whistle, whether they are opened or closed. The fit (x-small) it a little big. Pros: The dark red looks great and the modular features are easy to use. It’s all around a comfortable helmet. No rubs or uncomfortable pressure. The helmet isn't too heavy for my little child-like neck. Great ventilation. The temperature inside is always comfortable. There is no fogging. Easy to clean. Reasonably priced.

This is the first full helmet I've gotten. The fit is a little tight (snug) but good. The noise level is not that bad and the air flow keeps my glasses from fogging. Had to reglue the small strip along the bottom edge of the helmet but no big deal. Like the way the front opens to be able to drink without taking off the whole helmet. Also the only helmet that I can put on or take off without having to remove my glasses. Nice!

Summit Vega 2 helmet.
Great fitting helmet, feels comfy on your noggin. A bit noisey as most modular helmets with venting are, but it's to be expected. Finish and color are very nice for a helmet of this price. I didnt give it a high mark for durability as it came out of the box with the rear valance vent cover broken and I had to repair with Super glue before I could use it.

Third Generation
This is my third Summit helmet. My first one (black Summit. I bought a yellow one that was retired when the II came out). My Red Summit II has seen a lot of service. It has been in rides of more than 2,700 miles with my Iron Butt rides. The only complaint is that it does not age gracefully. Time for a replacement! For the dough, it is a great value!

Vega Summit II
I bought this helmet for my dad for father's day. He absolutely love it. It is a beautiful color and he is happy with it. The padding is very thick though and makes it a tight fit.

Fit and Features Did It In
I had to return this helmet because the size chart was wrong. I ordered according to the size chart and i couldn't get on my head. I thought I was safe because I was on the lower end of the measurements for the size I ordered. They didn't have the size I needed so I had to get a refund. There is also no room in the ear pieces for speakers. So if you intend to use a Bluetooth device, this isn't your helmet. I gave it a 4 for durability because it appeared well-made.

Too much NOISE & WIND inlet!
Just purchased the Summit-II. Terribly disappointed when I rode to speeds above 45mph. The modular design juts out to allow for more chin room. However, it also allows more wind & noise. At points on the Interstate, I could feel the wind lifting my helmet.

great helmet
Good price, especially for a modular helmet. Lightweight, works great in the cold, very happy with the selection. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a good helmet, worth the price.

Really like it, fit is good, light weight. I like that I can open it up to put it on. Allows me to wear my regular glasses. Color is great - looks really sharp. Only drawback is that there is more room in the chin area - wind likes to get in on cooler days, I use a scarf to help that out.

Vega Summit II Helmet
After reading the other reviews of this helmet I went ahead and ordered it. My head is hard to size to begin with and I needed an XXL size helmet due to my last helmet (XL) not fitting perfectly. One reviewer suggested modifying the foam a little to make an exact fit and that is exactly what I thought I was going to do. After having it now for several weeks, I realize that I may not need to do that. It fits much better than I was expecting. For the cost benefit, it turns out to be a very nice helmet with a beautiful finish. I say take a chance, if you’re unhappy, you can send it back!
