Product Description
Firstgear 90 Watt Heated Liner Jacket
Available in sizes for both men and women, Firstgear’s heated jacket liners are wired to work with Firstgear heated gloves. They fit comfortably, operate efficiently, and most importantly, maintain a safe and temperate riding experience. To top it off, a state-of-the-art Heat-troller is also available to vary the output of most other brands of heated apparel better than the original equipment. So instead of winterizing your motorcycle, keep it on the road by keeping yourself warm with tried-and-true, Firstgear, Warm & Safe heated apparel.
Firstgear's "no one left behind" policy ensures that riders of any model motorcycle can take advantage of the warming effects of heated apparel by choosing between either the 65- or 90-watt versions. Good for low-amperage bikes or passengers not requiring as much heat as the rider, the 65-watt units minimizes the draw on the bike's charging system.
Features:
The Firstgear Heated Liner Jacket is available in 90-watt and 65-watt versions.
Designed to be plugged into a DC power source or battery pack. Heat-trollers available to provide you with multiple ways to control the heat output in your heated gear.
Exclusive dual-zone heating system allows you to use the single or the dual Heat-troller without rewiring the liner. Liner rated at 110 watts at 12.8 volts.
Designed to be worn over a single layer of clothing, a t-shirt or other lightweight garment. A protective outer jacket should always be worn over it.
Built to be temperature neutral, so that you can wear your liner all day and not have to change clothing when you need heat
Lightweight soft nylon shell for minimum bulk, non-coasted finish for maximum breathability
Form fitting, snug fit for optimum heat transfer to body
Heating pads on front, upper and lower back, sleeves and collar for full heat coverage

Heated jacket
I've worn it on nights down in the twenties and needed no more than a thermal shirt underneath, and my leather jacket over. The sleeves aren't as warm as I would like, though.

Firstgear - 90 Watt Heated Liner Jacket
It works as intended. In retrospect I probably could've got away with the 60W one. It fits tight as it should and keeps me nice and warm. I'm using one heat troller to run this and the gloves plugged into its sleeves. With the 60W version I could've adjusted the troller higher to get the gloves warmer. But since the bike has heated grips I can still probably ride into the low 20-s. So far I've used this down to 28F. With the wires zippered away I wear it occasionally as a nice casual jacket, to walk to a store for example. Even then it's warm and comfortable.

heated linner
The liner fit to size, function well in a test, as for durability I have only tested to this point and have not gone thru a season with it so that is still to be seen. As for cost benefit I am not sure you can put a price on comfort.

90 Watt Heated Liner Jacket
One wouldn't think heated clothing would be necessary in Santa Barbara, Ca. But the early mornings can be in the twenties and thirties. I recently went on a 10-day camping trip on my Yami 1300T and I'm really glad I had the jacket for the first two days as I left SB and ended up at 7300 feet at the Grand Canyon. The jacket really helped, as the early morning and late afternoon rides were done in some cold weather. Did I stay warm? You betcha. Just to see how warm I was, I turned off the gloves and jacket. Immediately, I was colder. I kept the heat on until I was clearly riding in the warmth of the sun. There is no way around it, but the cords can be a nuisance if not managed properly. Happy I had the jacket and gloves. I was concerned about sucking up 90 watts of power, but it had no affect on my battery and charging system at all (V-Star 1300 T). Based on my research, the FirstGear jacket was the way to go and that assessment proved to be true.

Heated Jacket Liner (90 Watt)
I bought the liner, Kevlar gloves and dual controller. Toasty warm. All work perfectly. I rode for 2 hours on I-95 yesterday (75mph) in 40 degree weather with my jacket liner and gloves on high. I was toasty warm, just like riding in summer. I've used my gear 5 or 6 times. It must fit snug to work; I use an Under Armor shirt over it to get a snug fit over my entire torso and arms. No strain on my electrical system ('03 HD Road King). Easy to install. A little spendy, but REALLY nice to have. I haven't used the gear in a heavy rain...yet. If it performs as well in a heavy rain as it has so far, it'll be worth every penny to those of us who ride all year.

Heated Jacket Liner and Gloves
Where the hell has this been all my riding life? It is amazing to have. If you don't get it, you are a schmuck. This is the best gear I've bought over the last 18 years of riding. I will never leave home without it. It will always be in my saddlebags ... just like my American Express card. It fits well and it works! Motorcycle Superstore has been incredible with knowledge and service; they are great to do business with and I totally recommend them.

90 watt heated jacket liner
Warms very quickly. Stays warm even without a windscreen for protection. When using the optional Heat Troller, you can adjust the temperature of the liner for warmer temps.

First Gear 90 Watt Heated Jacket Liner
Heats fast and is warm. Well-designed. Sides of my chest don't seem to get much heat - I'm on a sportbike leaning forward. Works well under my Aerostitch 1-piece Roadcrafter. Used in temps down to 32F/0C.

This is one HOT jacket
OK, fit - spot on for large. Finish and features- tops. Durability - so far so good. I have used this jacket (with long sleeve shirt under and Tour Master Transition jacket over) down to 8 deg. That is a 45 min commute at night, on the Interstate. With the jacket set at 3/4 max I was not cold a bit. I guess you have to live up north to need full power. Consider that when buying the 90 or 60 watt version.

Jacket Liner - Thumbs Up
I have been able to use my liner a few times now. I don’t know why I waited so long to wear heated gear. I will never ride in the cold without it ever again. Thus far, I have only had to turn it up about half way to keep warm. It does take a few minutes to get all the cords lined up (especially with the heated gloves) but it is worth it to stay warm. I recommend this product for anyone looking for a good value in heated equipment. I got the dual controller and gloves. Great setup for the cold weather.
