Yours was my third try at getting a helmet. I would measure and order the size their chart said. They didn't fit. Yours did the same thing and you offered a size larger which none of the others. It fits and it is wonderful. I am 74 and a recent scooter owner who now has a super helmet.

Loved this helmet - wasn't sure about the fit because I was ordering it from the internet but it fits snug just like it's supposed to and the visor is not distorted in any way no matter which direction I look. Thanks for a very reasonably priced helmet and wonderful fit.

Good fit and serves the purpose of allowing adequate ventilation during summer riding. design also allows me to put the helmet on without removing my glasses. Only downside is the face shield quickly became blurred and lost it's clarity.

Have always used an open face helmet, and really enjoy the adjustable shield (ordering a spare), when all the way up, it isn't in my line of sight, and adjust it down in increments for varying speeds and conditions. The visor is pretty much worthless for the early morning sun (7am-10am), but works fine after that. It's either too short, or is too high up on the helmet. All in all would recommend, as fits true to size, is highly visible, and well worth the money

My wife loves her new helmet. Very comfortable. Beautiful color in red "whine". Excellent price for its value. She also has more field of vision than her other helmet. It is a full face sport bike helmet.

The price was also very reasonable. I love the face shield that I ordered with the silver mirror, as well as the sun visor.

Great Scooter Helmet
I was looking for a helmet to replace my Z1R Metro helmet with the same visor and face shield features. The AFX - FX-44 Helmet satisfied both of my requirements and was priced very affordably. I ordered an XS and it fit perfectly. On it’s first road test I was happy with the visor because not only does it do a good job at blocking sunlight, it's vented well and didn't yank my head back at freeway speeds. The face shield is large and provides very good visibility when down. It also adjusts to different positions which I like. The only real complaint I have with this helmet is that the face shield doesn't adjust all the way up out of your line of sight. Overall I think it's a good buy and when this one wears out I will definitely look to buy another.

This helmet fits great. The only problem is that after a short while the face shield will start to rattle at higher speeds (70mph and up). The visor is a help with the rising and setting sun but again at higher speeds it tends to pull up on the helmet. I think I just have to ride a little slower!

Ice Blue Lollipop
I ordered this helmet in Ice Blue for my grandson. The entire family fell in love with the color. It ROCKS. The fit is perfect but someone screwed up on the straps. The D ring side is to short and it makes it hard to run the chin strap through properly. I am going to take it to a leather repair shop and see if they can sew a longer strap on it so we can secure it without the hassle. For the price, this is one sharp helmet. The Ice Blue color makes it look like a big piece of candy.

The helmet is very nice and is well made. I love the vents. However, it is too small and I have ordered another helmet of a different style. It fits around the top of my head but is too tight on the sides of my face.

I do like the helmet but it does have a couple of issues. One thing I notice off the bat is that it’s…BIG. It seems, compared to others, super tall. I don’t really mind. After all, my brain is the most important thing I own, but still…The other thing is that it tends to push hard right in the center of my forehead. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to “dent” the foam in that spot to custom fit it for my head. Oh, one last thing. I wish the visor would fully rise up out of my vision. Because of the design it never really leaves your field of view.
Minor issues. Other than those issues it’s a great helmet.

Pro's and con's.
First I must say that this is the first helmet that didn't try to pull my head off at 80 mph. The air flow through the helmet is something I am going to appreciate when the weather gets hotter, but there is a lot of wind noise. The face opening is huge, but there are a number of design flaws. The D-rings on the strap had an unusual curved shape that made it difficult to thread the strap into. I fixed that with a hammer and block of wood to flatten them out. There is a flimsy sym-leather piece that the tag end of the strap snaps to so it won't flap in the wind. That has broken. The strap with the D-rings should have been made longer and the snap should have been attached to that. The lower part of the face shield comes in contact with my nose and chin when complete lowered. Over a couple of days it collect smudges that are annoying.

Decent Open-Face Helmet
Purchased this helmet based on its look. Turned out to be an okay helmet. The pros: The sizing was correct for my noggin (I wear a large.)The hard visor is nice- provides some cover for your eyes when the sun is overhead. The cons: The face shield is okay but doesn't go up completely because of the hard visor leaving the shield in your line of vision when it's up. The finish is easily scratched. The top vent housing is fragile- mine cracked a bit. Otherwise the helmet does its job and is a good value for the price.

As I ordered this helmet in late November/early December 2007, it's just a little chilly for riding much in Wisconsin right about now. However it fits my head well, has good range of vision from side to side, and is very easy to put on and take off without even having to undo the chin strap which is a nice feature. I might also mention that I have a stereo Bluetooth I use with my ipod strapped to my wrist for much while I'm riding and combination has fit well too. Overall, I think this is a good helmet for the money. Talk to me in March or April 2008 after all the snow, ice, and other crap Wisconsin winters bring and I will be able to tell you more.

Expected less for the price, well made, awesome design. The shield could go a little higher when retracted so I don't see it in front of my eyes but that's something I will fix myself. Great helmet. I have owned many expensive brands and when they are scratched they all look ugly and you have to stay with them for a long time since you expended a fortune. This time when damaged I will replace it for less $$$.

You get what you pay for
The flip up visor gives you a great field of vision. It's A LOT bigger than I thought it would be. It's bigger than my full face!!! Since it's so wide the cheek pads don't fit your face which could pose a problem if you crashed. The inside is hard which doesn't make it good for much more than short trips. All in all it's a cheap price point with OK fit at best. My advice, helmets last for many years, spend the money and get a very comfortable, great fitting one and you'll be happier in the long run.

Helmet review
Very good fit, good ventilation, I like the appearance and the removable liner. Best of all is the tilt-away shield and the range of view. I feel like I have a wide viewing area while still maintaining protection.
