Janice A. Los Angeles,  CA Great Scooter Helmet I was looking for a helmet to replace my Z1R Metro helmet with the same visor and face shield features. The AFX - FX-44 Helmet satisfied both of my requirements and was priced very affordably. I ordered an XS and it fit perfectly. On it’s first road test I was happy with the visor because not only does it do a good job at blocking sunlight, it's vented well and didn't yank my head back at freeway speeds. The face shield is large and provides very good visibility when down. It also adjusts to different positions which I like. The only real complaint I have with this helmet is that the face shield doesn't adjust all the way up out of your line of sight. Overall I think it's a good buy and when this one wears out I will definitely look to buy another.

AL San Diego,  CA AFX - FX HELMET I was somewhat skeptical about this product after reading the reviews. However, I am very happy that I had purchased this item. My friends were very impressed of the afx-fx-44 helmet. The price was also very reasonable. I love the face shield that I ordered with the silver mirror, as well as the sun visor.

John Rizzo Oregon City,  OR AFX - FX-44 Helmet This helmet fits great. The only problem is that after a short while the face shield will start to rattle at higher speeds (70mph and up). The visor is a help with the rising and setting sun but again at higher speeds it tends to pull up on the helmet. I think I just have to ride a little slower!

Richard Poliska Bullhead City,  AZ Ice Blue Lollipop I ordered this helmet in Ice Blue for my grandson. The entire family fell in love with the color. It ROCKS. The fit is perfect but someone screwed up on the straps. The D ring side is to short and it makes it hard to run the chin strap through properly. I am going to take it to a leather repair shop and see if they can sew a longer strap on it so we can secure it without the hassle. For the price, this is one sharp helmet. The Ice Blue color makes it look like a big piece of candy.

carolyn overman concord,  NC coverman The helmet is very nice and is well made. I love the vents. However, it is too small and I have ordered another helmet of a different style. It fits around the top of my head but is too tight on the sides of my face.

Shawn Gilbert Palm Bay,  FL Super Dome I do like the helmet but it does have a couple of issues. One thing I notice off the bat is that it’s…BIG. It seems, compared to others, super tall. I don’t really mind. After all, my brain is the most important thing I own, but still…The other thing is that it tends to push hard right in the center of my forehead. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to “dent” the foam in that spot to custom fit it for my head. Oh, one last thing. I wish the visor would fully rise up out of my vision. Because of the design it never really leaves your field of view. Minor issues. Other than those issues it’s a great helmet.

Ronald Bauer Phoenix,  AZ Pro's and con's. First I must say that this is the first helmet that didn't try to pull my head off at 80 mph. The air flow through the helmet is something I am going to appreciate when the weather gets hotter, but there is a lot of wind noise. The face opening is huge, but there are a number of design flaws. The D-rings on the strap had an unusual curved shape that made it difficult to thread the strap into. I fixed that with a hammer and block of wood to flatten them out. There is a flimsy sym-leather piece that the tag end of the strap snaps to so it won't flap in the wind. That has broken. The strap with the D-rings should have been made longer and the snap should have been attached to that. The lower part of the face shield comes in contact with my nose and chin when complete lowered. Over a couple of days it collect smudges that are annoying.
