Decent Helmet for the price. Tight fit.
Like others have noted, the helmet is way too snug in the cheek area. Not for the jolly, round-faced type. I had to alter the cheek pads to fit my face. I was beginning to develop a Zoolander face after 10 seconds! Get a size bigger.

Fit is kind of tight around my cheeks, tighter when the flip-up is closed. I ordered an XL helmet but I guess I have a fat head. There were a couple Velcro straps (around the eyes, coming from the sides), and I couldn't figure out what the purpose of those straps are. The instruction manual lacked reference of those straps. Ground shipping took a long time to get through the western US, but I had online tracking, which was very helpful. Cost benefit deserves a 10.0/5.0, considering that this helmet saved me at least $150 over the local motorcycle shops (most of which are geared towards Harley-Davidson gear).

Cool design, color matches my bike. Flip up design is cool, but switching out visors is a tad cumbersome.

Great Value
This is the second AFX I bought because I loved the first one (in pink). Just got a light blue one and love the look and value of this helmet. I have to say that this one doesn't open and close as well as the first one, but still love it.

It’s a good helmet for the price. My bottom vent broke after a few weeks but nothing else. Fits great! It looks awesome, pads could be softer but it’s overall a great helmet!

Review
This was a pretty inexpensive helmet. I love the look of the helmet, however like with other gloves I bought on this site, I followed their scale on the website and it’s a little too small but it works. It fits well enough to wear and will make a good helmet for my passengers. For its price, I love the helmet. The padding inside of it could be a little softer but it’s not bad.

Bang for the buck
Not the best helmet in the world but the bang for the buck is great. Visibility is a little limited and it seems that the sizes are a little small.

I love this helmet. It has great visibility and fits great. The flip up feature is great when stopping for a drink with out removing the helmet. This is a great value. You will not go wrong with this choice.

The helmet fits tight around the cheeks and mouth area. It is easy to lift the front face area, but difficult to lift the shield, especially with gloves. There is not enough padding to make the helmet comfortable. I get vibration at higher speeds which makes visibility difficult.

Excellent helmet for the price. Helmet fits my head really nice. Cheek pads take a little getting used to. These will get more comfortable as the helmet is worn more. Chin strap needs to be softened up to work it thru the rings easier. 2 little velco straps I tucked behind the cheek pads to keep them out of the way. Less wind noise than my Scorpion helmet which surprised me. Flip up feature is very easy to use. Only took 3 times to perfect opening it. Face shield could use a little bit larger fi

I am happy with this helmet. I was suspicious of the sizing since it is different from other brands, but it seems to work out ok. The cheek-pads are a real pain and leave marks on my face. There is so little room around the ears that using bud earphones is uncomfortable. The wind noise is significant. The clam-shell works fine and the face-shield has no distortion.

FX-97 helmet
First of all, outstanding service from 'motorcycle-superstore'. I got my order well short of a week and I live down in Texas. Excellent value in the FX-97. I really noticed the excellent field of vision and clarity of the face shield. I have minimal issues with wind noise. Only downside is the helmet is not quite as comfy as my previous full face helmets. Probably due to my boney misshaped head and big ears. My wife wants one after I bragged on the FX-97 so much.

Good helmet for the price. The fit is the same as my Fulmer. It did take about a week to get accustomed to the cheek pads. Even with earplugs there seems to be a good bit of wind noise. It has also taken a couple of weeks for the flip up shield to break in. There are a couple of velcro strips on either side that get in the way of closing so you need to stay alert as to where they are at when trying to close the shield. Over all, it's worth the money.
