Steve Fairmont,  WV AFX FX-97 a solid performer for the price! I bought my wife the FX97 and the fit was true. The color of the helmet looked a little "plasticy" but was bright and had no defects. The chin bar lift mechanism is a little stiff but feels very secure and does not bind. There is adequate ventilation to allow the shield to remain fog-free. Wife does state that it is a little noisy compared to a regular full face helmet, but quieter than our more expensive Sy-Max. Very recommendable for the price.

Thomas Riverbank,  CA Good protection, good value This is my first helmet so I don't really know what a good value in helmets is. There's nothing really special about it, but all in all it does what it's supposed to. I ordered this helmet one size larger than the chart said to and I'm glad I did. The helmet fits perfectly even though the cheek pads were really tight, which is what many of the other reviews agreed on. After a month or so, the pads conformed to my face better. The flip up feature is very useful. I've used it a couple times to talk to people. The one thing I don't like about the helmet is the chin trap. It's bothersome to have to strap and unstrap it. Other than that, it's a really good helmet and I would recommend it to anyone.

Wil Atlanta,  GA Decent Helmet for the price. Tight fit. Like others have noted, the helmet is way too snug in the cheek area. Not for the jolly, round-faced type. I had to alter the cheek pads to fit my face. I was beginning to develop a Zoolander face after 10 seconds! Get a size bigger.

Ted Ames,  IA great value Fit is kind of tight around my cheeks, tighter when the flip-up is closed. I ordered an XL helmet but I guess I have a fat head. There were a couple Velcro straps (around the eyes, coming from the sides), and I couldn't figure out what the purpose of those straps are. The instruction manual lacked reference of those straps. Ground shipping took a long time to get through the western US, but I had online tracking, which was very helpful. Cost benefit deserves a 10.0/5.0, considering that this helmet saved me at least $150 over the local motorcycle shops (most of which are geared towards Harley-Davidson gear).

Maria Toronto,  ON Great Value This is the second AFX I bought because I loved the first one (in pink). Just got a light blue one and love the look and value of this helmet. I have to say that this one doesn't open and close as well as the first one, but still love it.
