I like everything about this helmet. Beautiful finish and nice features for the price on sale. Ordered the same size as my Shoei full-face and it fits me fine. Not too heavy and wind noise is reasonable for an open-face helmet.

My last helmet was also a Shoei. I was very happy with the fit and comfort of it. The padding and strap were finally wearing out after 5 years. Now with the new platinum helmet I am again very happy with the fit and comfort of it.

Perfect Fit
I can wear this helmet for hours and it remains comfortable. The venting works well and is semi quite. I like the padding around the cheeks and the finish is nicely done.

Very Nice Helmet
I bought this helmet because I needed a 3/4 design for my headset, so it supplements a 1/2 helmet design I already owned. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's very lightweight, even lighter than my half helmet. The airflow cooling is also fantastic, so this helmet is easy to wear all day on a long ride. I only have one small complaint, which is that you have to take your sunglasses off to take the helmet off because of the recess on the sides for glasses. It's no big deal, it's just hard to remember.

Very satisfied
The helmet was tight to start but seems to be great after a short breaking period. I have a fairly average oval head. The lining is comfortable. I find the silver helmet fairly cool. The venting works well though it is noisy when the front vents are open. To be expected I guess. I recommend it.

RJ Air Platinum Helmet
I tried on many helmets and as soon as I put this one on I knew it was right. It was a bit tight around the cheeks but that went away after a few weeks. now the helmet just feels fine.....looks good to.

I replaced the previous version of this helmet. I wear an open face because I am claustrophobic. The newer version brothers me after 1-1/2 to 2 hours in the forehead region due to the removable liner seam being there. The old version did not have a removable liner. We tour long distance so comfort is important. I am hoping the comfort will improve.

mistake
I tried the helmet on when I first bought it and it felt great. I threw out all the packaging. Now after using the helmet for a few weeks....I hate it. the cutout for glasses is a constant hassle. It places the glasses in one spot, whether or not it matches your face. I have to constantly reach up and mess with my glasses. I end up with the glasses pushed tight to my face and my eyelashes hitting the lens. Finger prints all over. The plastic stop on the end of the chinstrap makes it a pain to remove. I would rather wear my 20 year old ratty Bell. It’s made well and I will try a Shoei half helmet to replace this one. I just hope I can get rid of it without loosing all my money. After only a few rides, I won’t wear it again.

I replaced an old Bell I had worn for almost 20 years. The RJ is very similar in appearance. I prefer an open helmet but I appreciate the cheek protection of this style. I don’t like the sort of air foil appearance. Its kind of goofy looking. The interior is plush and comfy but it attaches itself to my earring and I'm sure to rip my ear off sooner or later. There is an absolutely infuriating safety catch on the strap and as soon as I have the time I will break it off whatever it takes. It makes it very difficult to remove the helmet. The helmet is very light and feels good on the road. I only used it in the cold so I not know how well the vents work. I'm not sure if I would buy another one. If my old bell wasn't so ratty I would rather wear it than the new one for the money.

RJ Platinum R Open Face
This helmet is great. It does feel tight around the cheeks making you look like a chipmunk. But I would not buy another brand. As a matter of fact my wife also has the same helmet.
