Great helmet for the price
If I had to complain about anything it would be that I'm not crazy how you have to lift the modular part of the helmet. It has a red lever that needs to be pulled in toward the inside of the helmet to lift the lower portion of the helmet. I'd rather push a button and lift. It really needs two hands to lift it up. Other than that, I'm very pleased.

This was my 1st flip-up helmet. Fits too tight, Chinbar screw loosen after a few months. Chinbar is too tight to open. For $130 is cheap but I've returned it to AFX for a full refund cos I didn't feel safe with it, that's just me. Plus point, it has lifetime warrantee. Check out HJC IS MAX ($180) or SY MAX 2 ($252) is a great buy. I've got the IS MAX, Best features, great fit, and comfort. My head size is 56cm, small was tight for me, got a medium. Ride safe :-)

Great Helmet
I bought this helmet for my wife. It's our first modular and it's great! The fit and finish is perfect. This helmet is a great value and I have already recommended it to my friends.

Overall happy with this helmet
I just rode 984 miles over the weekend from the San Francisco area to the Seattle area while wearing this helmet. Overall I am happy with the helmet, and I like the rigidity of the flip-up face shield, as it makes me more comfortable that it won't come open in the case of a collision. There are two minor issues that I wish I could change, however. First, the fit at the ears, for me at least, makes it painful to wear in-ear headphones, as the padding presses against the headphones. Second, unlike other modular helmets I've tried, there is no padded cushion at the chin, which means that there is a lot of wind getting up into the helmet, and thus a lot of noise. Even with foam (32dB) earplugs the helmet was very noisy.

AFX - FX-28 Helmet
If you have always worn a medium, buy a large for this helmet. It fits very tight. If it is your right size it fits very well. There is a lot of fresh air coming through. It is pretty loud. It is a very cool helmet!!!
