I was not impressed
I ride every day and I depend on my gear to last at least a year before holes start to appear. For some reason I thought these had more leather and a thicker layer, but they are only 35% leather. I really like Alpinestars gloves, and I have their SP1 and SP2 GP gauntlet gloves for track, and shorties for the street. I have had their SPS and those are full leather all around so they are more durable plus less expensive, but the big lump on the knuckle is a little weird. I would do research before buying these gloves if you want durability as well as a nice look. I should have bought the GPX. :-(

Alpinestar SP-X Gloves
When you’re looking for a glove there are so many different parameters to think off. If you’re looking for a summer glove than this one's for you. The breaks in armor pads on the top of the glove feature superb venting for those hot days. Speaking of the armor, it’s made of woven carbon fiber, that looks great and is highly functional. The only problems that I encountered was that, even when using alpinestars size chart, the glove was quite tight when I first got it. It’s been three weeks now and it's still slightly tight. One other problem was the retention system on the wrist consists of Velcro and tears up the opposing thumb material when tightening. The cost is not that bad either, at 99 bucks.

These gloves are great. Make sure you buy a size bigger than the one that should fit. The finish is awesome. I have had them about 2 months now and couldn’t ask for me. Comfortable, especially after you break them in, and very durable. Amazing!

They are my first pair of gloves
They are my first pair of gloves, and I like them. I wear size 8, or small, and it has a tight fit. They are strong finished and feel durable, although I haven’t really done anything to test the durability. One thing I like about them is the carbon knuckles. One thing I don’t like about them is that I can feel the seams inside the gloves. The price tag is a little expensive, but I do like them.

Definitely get a bigger size if you do buy these, I returned them, thumbs bunch up if you try them on and grab the handlebars and knuckles are scratchy, the cheaper ones from another brand were better

great product
Great product, does seem to be smaller than the other pair of gloves i bought from Alpinestar which were the same size. Do consider moving 1 size larger.

Nice gloves
Very nice gloves. Fit nice and tight when new and are breaking in great. Looks good and would appear to give good protection in a spill.

Just bought em
Just got these gloves and instantly fell in love. I wear a large in most gloves so I ordered a large in these and other than being a little tough to put on and take off, they fit great. Other than great fit they look B.A.

The fit is good once you break them in. I do find that the material on the finger tips is fraying from the Velcro loop when securing the wrist straps. The wrist straps could be a little longer as I find the overlap to fasten them is marginal. Other than that the form, fit and function is good

A- st@rs SP- X gloves
Other than a really snug fit these gloves aren't that bad. I always wear a large except when it came down to this glove. I strongly recommend going one size up, otherwise it’s uncomfortable.

great gloves..even for women
It is very difficult to find good gloves when you are a woman. If you buy men's gloves, sizing becomes an issue, and you're lucky if you even find a place that carries women's gloves. I finally took a chance with these gloves, and I could not be more comfortable when I ride. Sizing is somewhat small, but it works to your advantage if you're a woman. No break in is needed, they are great right off the bat!

Great Gloves!
These are great gloves! Fit nicely, if you have big hands get a bigger size, run a lil small, but other than that look awesome, and a great look. Need to be worked in like other gloves, but once worked in they are awesome. Would recommend to anyone.

This glove is very comfortable and does the job too well. Grip, protection, and comfort all in one package. The orange is quite appealing as it goes along with my in dirty copper.

Almost what I expected
Glove is super light and breathable but still has great protection for all fingers. The only thing I hear people complain about is the pinky doesn't get much armor and I agree, but overall, great protection combined with lightness and breathability.

Best gloves I've ever had
The gloves are great!!!! Fit is perfect. Used them probably for probably 20+ rides and they haven’t popped a stitch, stained my hands or any of the usual stuff. You won’t be sorry.

SPX gloves
It was tough to decide between these and the gauntlet style gloves like GP pro's. I've had both and now have concluded that if going for a glove that's good all around the gauntlet style are best, these look great and are good fit with ease to put on but will definitely not last as long as I'd like and should be only used for light riding.

great gloves
These are great summer gloves. I got them for my boyfriend and he loved them, nice style. The only issue he had is that they are a little bit too tight on his fingers, but it will stretch with time. I recommend these gloves!
