Works as intended

Cheap tool that works. Feels somewhat cheap and is a little awkward to use but for the price it is a worthy purchase.

It's easy to over tighten the link

Nice little tool, but it is easy to over tighten the link. After placing the chain press tool on the top chain, spin the wheel backwards and use the rear sprocket to hold the tool. That way there is no fumbling around trying to hold it while using the allen key.

Not a bad tool, but if you use this you will find it is a little tough without a handle to hold on to. Be creative though and put a crescent wrench on it to hold it.

This tool makes putting a chain on my bike effortless. If you do chain work, you should have gadget in your tool box.

Big Timmy

This is a good tool to have in your pack to press the masterlink plate on to a old or new chain prior to installing the master link clip. Without it you are likely to not be able to get it installed at all. it does what it was intended to do and is small enough to take with you in your pack. It's a bit hard to hold onto while cranking down on the press set screw but if you roll it up against the sprocket slightly it is easy enough to do. Not bad for the price.

Good but no Great

This tool works to push the pins in but not well. Make sure you push your pins all the way out enough to flange them out. I saw why people use a riveter instead. I made the mistake of not pushing all the way through and had a chain fly off. had to get a new master link and use other tools to help provide enough torque to push the pins to were i needed them and then a shop guy helped me flange them out with a hammer. its not the best tool but it does work

Does NOT peen rivet heads!

Great tool for pressing the plate and prepping for a rivet peen! If not using a rivet style master clip then it's all you need to finish the job on a clip style master link.
