    Works fine

Works fine. I hooked it up on the bottom so I don't have to take off the chain guard. Tougher then I thought it would be from some of the reviews. If you don't throw it in a crowded tool box it should last for a long time.

This is a must have tool in the shop. If you are getting a new chain and sprocket add this to your cart (you will not be sorry you did).

    Motion Pro- Chain Alignment tool

Great tool! Chain was misaligned from factory. Chain and sprockets will last longer.

    Get 'er Done!

Is simple, easy and very useful. Just to make sure all was straight, I was able to reverse the block, push the rod over, and verify going 180. Yep, both measured a straight axle.

    Easy to use

I found this easy to use. I spent a while getting it 'just right' and was surprised at how much my eyeball method of alignment was off. I would recommend this - if anything, it's worth the price for peace of mind that you aligned your drive train properly.

    Disappointed

Tool worked well the first time. The rod locking knob broke off (faulty bolt). The rod is not hardened, but should not be a problem if you treat the tool as you would any fine measurement equipment.

    eye ball works as well

The rod is too short for accurate aligning the chain and sprokets. I can eye ball it just as well. Plus you have to take the chain guard off to make it work above the chain. You can make it work on the bottom also so you don't have to remove the chain guard. It is just a little more difficult to get your head down low enough to see the alignment when it is below.

    Save your money

Better than just aligning the marks on the axle right? First you will be required to remove the chain guard. Not a big deal. Attachment to the sprocket is easy. Screws are cheesy, but do the job. I did a test. I aligned the axle with the tool only. Noted that my marks were off about a line width. Hmmm, new bike, alignment marks wrong? So then I aligned chain with the marks only, and put the alignment tool on, dead on. Summary: the alignment marks on the frame are superior.

    Takes a little practice

Didn't quite get my chain/tire into alignment the first time I used it with my Kawasaki Versys. However, after a little practice with it I was able to get my wife's Ninja 250 set up nicely. Helps to remove the chain guard (well, really you'll have to) and have a nice bright light source to sight down the chain. And some patience.

    great product, huge time savings

This product is a great benefit. I KNOW my chain is aligned with this. And I can get it there fast. The poor rating on durability is because of the plastic clamp screw that I know I will break or wear out sooner or later. A stainless screw for this would be a much better choice.
