I built my own hitch carrier for my XT 250 because it`s on a 4x4 Ramcharger and the only ones for sale were sticking straight out and too low to be using behind a jacked up 4. I wanted clearance in case I was in a ditch or something and to not drag. The Fly Racing Ramp is perfect, it is exactly as long as the carrier is wide and the angle of approach is not steep at all. Bike loads real nice and I welded studs on the carrier for the ramp and use large washers and wing nuts to hold it on. I like well made stuff and Motorcycle Superstore has good stuff at a price I cannot beat anywhere. Shipping is blazing fast too! I don`t know how they do it, but some other companies could learn a thing or two about shipping.
it was received in a very timely manner, is exactly as advertised, has an excellent finish, and is very strong. I previously tried an aluminum ramp but was not satisfied with it. I much prefer the CMP steel ramp.
Light weight, wide enough, sides to prevent the bike from rolling off the ramp to the side, folds to just over 4', beefy construction (especially the hinge), easy to handle and small enough to store easily in the tow vehicle.
I switched from a 6 foot aluminum ramp so the Matrix ramp feels heavier than advertised. It doesn't feel like it would hold the advertised 500 pounds. I do like this ramp because it is obviously a quality product. It grabs the tailgate and doesn't slip and has rubber feet to lock it on the ground. I would definitely recommend this ramp.
