Great for me

Just got this & as temps are rising, only got to use it once on short ride, temp around 48 Deg, F. Really like this, very soft on the skin & inspite of the medium thickness of the fabric I had no problem with a tight fit at the forehead. Many "sweat caps" I've had, even though much thinner, have caused pressure that results in a headache after a short period. I hope this piece won't do the same after extended riding time but since we are enjoying unusual warm temps here in Maryland, it may be until next Nov or Dec before I get to wear it for longer rides. All in all very pleased at this point!

Great for Cold Weather Motorcycle Riding

Went 2200 miles from NV to East Coast . Did not have this product , but bought one while in KY for the ride back . What a difference having early in the morning starting out at 30 degree or below in high winds . Once sun is up around noon just peel off and tuck away . I have other great Schampa Products , great- all of them!

Perfect!

I wish I would've found this sooner. It's perfect for those chilly/cold nights and keeps all the wind out.

Pretty good product

I like the product but my biggest drawback to it would be the fact that there is no ventilation for my nose. I wear eyeglasses and they get fogged up really easily. I have to pull the balaclava down over my nose. If you don't wear glasses, its great.

The Greater Gaiter

In short, of two bought at the same time, this one is the better of the two. I purchased this Schampa and a competitor's double layer at the same time. The Schampa single-layer gaiter is a better fit, and was effective in 36 degree weather yesterday at speeds up to 55 and with gusting wind at up to 18 MPH [ca 88 kmH]. As a bonus, on both my 3/4 length jackets (FG Rainier and Jaunt T2) I can fasten the topmost closure snap, which cannot be done with the double-layer. Kudos, Schampa!

Warm enough for fall

I've worn it at highway speeds in the low 30's. It's warm enough/it comes up high on the face; I have to tuck my glasses underneath; otherwise I get wind induced dry eye. It's better than a bandana at keeping the fog at bay but far from perfect. The nose bridge feels like it will break if it's repeatedly shaped. Great value for the money if you want a nondescript face cover get an extra month out of half helmet season.
