vest for hot weather

Works great in 100 degree weather we just had here. A little skimpy on material could of been a little bigger with a couple vest pockets in case you wore it outside t-shirt.

Cooling Vest

This is the only way to ride in hot weather. When my bike broke down I would have died of sun stroke if I had not had this on!

Great addition to my riding gear

It worked out great for my last 9 day ride this summer. Carry it in a zip-lock baggie. When I need it just add water. Easy and convenient. Good value for the money.

Works well. Went through parts of S.D., Montana and Wyoming this July and these made a huge difference. Used these about 3 days would recommend them highly. 5'8" 175lbs and the medium fits great.

Cool Vest

The vest kept me cool when it was hot and humid. The vest is well made as well as very reasonable in cost. Well worth being comfortable on a hot ride.

Concept good, sizing small

I am a big guy and took into consideration the typical sizing issues I deal with so to make sure I was going to get what I needed I decided to be conservative and ordered a 3X - still too small. 2X gets me into everything else I order, so caution to those concerned with fit.

Nice

I'm sure the overall quality could be better, however it does most of what it's supposed to do (keep my core cool which keeps my head cool while riding). It does get your shirt wet even though it's not supposed to. And I once got soap on it while trying to soak it. It basically felt like I was washing my clothes after that...haha. That soap is near impossible to get out!

Desert tested

Just finished a week in the desert in a Firstgear Kathmandu adventure suit. Temps ranged from 90-107. My wife and I both wore these vests and we surely wouldn't have made it without them. They work very well and kept us cool every day. Rated 4 on fit because they run big. I have 48" chest and the XXL is too big.

A Summer Must Have Unless You Live in Canada

I was hesitant at first but read the reviews and have to say this vest is more than it is selling for. I used it for an August (2012) ride on my ST1300 through mid-Texas to home and the vest performed outstanding. It did dry faster than I expected, as it has to stay wet to work best. But I drove into a rain storm and got it wet again. Funny thing I don't know if I would use this vest when temps are below 80, as it just might be too cool. At least for me.

Excellent

Just as described, good price, quick shipping, works fantastic. I ordered this one for my hubby. I had to order the women's version from another site, as the men sizes are way too big for me.

Cooling Vest

Vest works great. Quality is commensurate with price. The zipper "handle" is on the left side rather than the right and a little hard to get use to.

FLY cooling vest

It takes between 1-2 minutes to soak this in cold water. wring out (not completely). I wear a spandex type shirt and shorts under my riding gear called Heat-out ... and this vest may wet the spandex shirt, but in 100F+ this vest keeps my core cool under my riding gear. I can ride between 5-10 hours before I need to stop and soak the vest. I enjoy this vest to keep me cool in hot weather.

Great Vest and Good Price!

This vest is great for riding in hot weather. I just rode in 100+ degree temperatures for 7 days and without this vest I would not have made it. I know the vest says to wring out the excess water, but it was so hot I put in on dripping wet and it kept me cool for at least 1 to 1 1/2 hours. I would definitely recommend getting this vest for riding in hot weather.
