FLY COOL PRO JACKET

This is my 2nd Cool Pro jacket. The old one got dingy due to the Hi-Vis Yellow. It washed up fine, but I wanted a RED one. I also have a Terra jacket and my wife has both also. The only problem I have found with Fly jackets is the main zipper. 2 of them have had the rubberized pull of the zipper get pulled off. I contacted the company but they never replied. So I installed a key-ring on the zippers and use them that way. It works. I have managed to buy all of the Fly jackets on sale, so that makes them a really good buy.

great jacket overall

I have owned this Jacket for years now. It has been a great jacket, except for one thing. The rivet that holds the snap on the right wrist came off. I would highly recommend it. It still looks new otherwise. I think I have owned it for about 3 plus years now. Im 6'3 190 and I have a large. Perfect size!

XXXL fits like an XL

Not sure if they're using American sizes because I returned this jacket for XXXL fits like an XL.

Good value

I needed a lighter jacket for summer and this fills the requirement. The size does run smaller than what is listed, so order a size larger. Shipping was typical Motorcycle Superstore- faster than anyone else. I am happy with the product and continue to be happy dealing with Motorcycle Superstore!

Should of bought one years ago

So far I'm very pleased! This is my first mesh jacket and I was impressed with how cool it kept me. Fits a little tight. Looks good and is comfortable all day.

Great jacket

I live in south Louisiana, and wasn't sure this jacket would be cool enough, but it is when you're moving. It fits great and gives me confidence it will protect me if I have an accident. Highly recommended, glad I got it.

Good not great.

Excellent vent properties, the waste velcro is completely useless, I have long arms, the long sleeves are welcome, as stated, shoulder armour moves around a bit, the liner works good when the temp drops at night, I'm 6'-0" 165# thin build, got the XL and it fit pretty good with room for a hoody or fleece vest. Not too difficult to get the liner back in.

Great Jacket

Great Jacket for 3-season wear. I usually wear a Lrg but went with the XL based on other reviews saying it was a bit tight. I probably could have gotten away with the Lrg. Decided to keep the XL anyway, it's just a touch loose with the straps/snaps tightened down as much as possible - figure this will allow for a sweatshirt underneath on the colder days. Plenty of airflow with the liner removed and has kept me cool on 100d days. Haven't ridden in cooler weather yet - but have a feeling that with the liner and maybe a sweatshirt underneath - it will be my go to jacket for nearly the whole riding season.

Works well in SF

Who needs a mesh jacket in San Francisco, right? Well, it's actually like 80°+ downtown in the summer. And more humid than I'd like. So far I've been happy with it when sitting at the lights with the sun beating down on me. Now if only they'd make a mesh helmet. I'm 5'8" and 165# and the medium fits well, but the shoulder armor moves around too much and I'm not sure how it would perform in an accident.

I like the jacket overall, However!!!

When I first tried it on I needed to adjust the sleeves The snap came apart (bad rivet job) lucky for me they supplied some spare ones and I was able to replace the defective snap. The jacket has performed flawlessly ever since I would definitely recommend this product overall.

Awesome Jacket

What an awesome jacket. The mesh keeps me cool in this hot desert air. It seemed to fit a bit small, however, my mid section is a lot puffy. I don't think I could wear a hoodie underneath in the cooler temps. I know the liner will be a bit confusing to put back on, only because of my lack of ability. I would recommend this mesh jacket to anyone. Great value ! !

Almost perfect mesh jacket

First off, I am 5'8", 175 lbs, no major gut to mention(yet...). There are two other reviewers with similar but not identical measurements, but for me size XL fits how I prefer, just enough extra room in the torso area to not feel too snug or restrictive. The sleeves are just slightly long, but for me not an issue because with gloves on, and the sleeves properly adjusted, they will stay in position good enough for me. I also like how this thinner, much better breathing jacket does not appear it will bunch up either in the chest, or stomach area, as my cold weather jackets always do. Overall fit is fine IMO. As others have pointed out, the main zipper could be better: the initial zip point takes a little fidgeting to get it started; and when you get 2/3 of the way up, right at that lower of the two decorative piping, it definitely hangs up there, requiring you to fidget more than at the very bottom...the makers really do need to fix the simple flaws. At the same time, unzipping the jacket is smooth from top to fully open. Just take your time zipping it up so your zipper doesn't come off track and get stuck (I hate it when this happens). The only other gripe is that for me, while the elbow and back protection is positioned just right, both shoulder pads rest several inches BELOW my shoulder, so it really would only protect my triceps (useless). I'm not sure why they are both so far off, but I am determined to figure a way to reposition these where they should be, possibly by sewing in two completely new "pockets" for these...? In the end, I still am looking forward to riding with this new summer jacket aboard my 93 Honda Nighthawk 750 this spring/summer/fall!!!

Overall good, with one Ooops!

The first time I tried it on, the zipper pull on the main zipper came right off at the first tug! I put a key chain ring on it and no problems. I wear XL in everything and the XL is snug on me. I have ridden with the rain liner in and out. It is fairly easy and quick to install/remove. Mesh works well in warm weather, letting the air flow. Overall, I would buy it again.
