Sizing runs small...

I bought a size Large for my roundish head as an upgrade from my Large Sy-Max2. The RPHA-Max's shell is noticeably smaller and the fit was immediately snug, unlike the Sy-Max2. After 50 miles, I had to strip off the helmet because it was killing my right temple! Seems HJC's weight-reduction strategy was to shrink the RPHA-Max's size. I had to press down the inner foam liner's ridges to reduce the hotspots. UGH. Time to order an XL.

Very nice...BUT

Have riden the helmet 10k+ now in cold and very hot. If the pin lock is installed properly it not only doesnt fog it enhances the view. Drop down visor is awkward to operate sometimes. Unexpected benefit is that even when left in the sun the interior stays as cool as the ambient air. BUT one side of the face shield seal has become dislodged due to the pin lock pin catching it when the shield is opened fully.

Good Helmet

Runs on the small side, internal visor actuator not easy to operate, poor air flow and visor fogs easily, Still overall a good helmet with a fair price for a fiber combination shell. I recommend trying one on before you buy it if possible.
