Hands down the best rear dual sport tire for mixed terrain

This isn't the cheapest tire but it lasts a lot longer than any other I have tried (I have tried them all). I put this on and did 1500 miles of Canadian dirt trails, fire roads and gravel then finished with a 700 mile highway blast and they still have a ton of tread left.

only choice for desert

This tire will outlast any other tire, gives good performance in the sand, can withstand huge impacts on sharp stones while riding a yamaha XT600 with 50liters, tent and more stuff for 4000miles and even then there is enough profile to make another journey. Oh, and pretty resistant against flats too! Price is a drawback but then its lasts very very long. Reasonably good on the tarmac ......when its dry that is. Not so good on tarmac when its wet.

Suitable compromise for a DOT tire

I use this tire for pavement, dirt roads with loose gravel and studder bumps, and single track. You can't beat this tire for pavement use. I was a bit disappointed in the dirt. This tire had a hard time hooking-up and grabbing traction. Many different pressure settings yielded the same result.
