Like it !

Looked at more expensive vests that incorporated frozen packs. The cost of reserve packs was prohibitive. In addition to the cost came the requirement that the reserve packs be kept cold before they were needed. Riding with a Igloo strapped to the bike is a non starter. With the Hyperkwel simply add water and shed a few degrees. Be realistic about performance in relation to relative humidity.

Awesome way to stay cool in 100 degree temps !

I bought one of these last summer to commute back & forth to work on my motorcycle in the 100+ temps of the Upper Sacramento Valley between Feather Falls and Chico. I work nights, so I would soak it in the shower just before I would leave on my 40 mile ride to work at 1pm, then I would suit up while still in the A/C in a t-shirt, this deluxe sport vest and a Joe Rocket Mesh Jacket, back pack and a well ventilated dual sport helmet. As long as you keep a steady flow of air hitting the vest, your cooler core temperature & the vests collar will help keep your neck cool to & prevent you from even breaking a sweat ( no kidding ) even in 100 degree heat. If you want to ride long distances, fill up a couple of water bottles or a Camelback hydration pack filled with ice water and keep pouring that water onto the vest as your riding, the vest will soak it up like a sponge and it will continue to keep you cool as long as you have water to keep it wet, Cheers !

Chillin' in the vest

Well, I have to say that this was a good investment cause the vest keeps me cool for about three hours. I wear it under a mesh jacket when I use it. I take a garbage bag with me so that I am able to re-soak the vest when it gets a bit dries out. I bought it big on purpose as I don't like tight clothes.

will stay cool for 3 hours

I am a Harley HOG rider in Florida. The vest is great. Turn a challenging hot ride into a much more comfortable ride in 90 degree weather. If you soak it good for 10 minutes it often will stay cool for 3 hours at highway speeds. Looks good in black!

Techniche Hyperkewel Cooling Vest

Used this on a trip to Sturgis from Southeast Texas. The vest was a big help in tolerating 100 degree weather in Texas and Oklahoma. It holds quite a bit of water compared to a soaked T shirt and as a result the cooling effect lasts longer. A wet T shirt is cooler initially because it is thinner and more air flow passed through it. However, in that kind of weather the T shirt drys out in about 30 min and the cooling effect goes away. Soak it in the morning before starting out and keep it in a plastic bag before use.

Death Valley Rated

Had a great opportunity to feel how well this product worked on a ride from Las Vegas through Death Valley at the end of August. Followed the instructions on pre-use and was ready to go on my trip. Mid afternoon temps were up to 115F. I was very comfortable for the duration of my run. It really helped out more that I had expected.

Happily Surprised !

Must admit I was skeptical when I purchased the vest but was amazed that it performed just like it claimed. Have used it in 90+ temps in high humidity and it kept me much cooler than I would have been riding without it. It works so well I use it whenever I am out in the heat.

Way better than nothing!

The vest is outstanding for the first 1/2 hour, great for the next 1/2 hour, then good for the next 2 hours. The water on the outside layers evaporates first, and provides unbelievable cooling. From then on, it is similar to perspiration, without the water loss.

Amazing product

This vest works very well. It is easy to soak, even in gas station bathroom sinks. It kept me very comfortable riding across HY 50 thru Nevada in 104F heat. Don't know how it would work in a humid environment but for the desert its great. I then used it dry as a warming vest riding up Mount Rainier in 50 degree weather so its versatile. The fit is tight so order the right size although I think you want it snug for the best effect.

Great to Have in Hot Weather

We used these vests on days over 90 degrees, close to 100 and they performed as advertised. Nice to know there are products for those that cannot take the heat.
