Beautiful Leather, Design, Quality... Awkward Fit

The Basics: I'm 6'0" Tall, Weight is 168 Pounds. Typically a 32 to 34" Waist, although 33" is best. Chest is 40" to 42" and I'm fairly slender... nothing unusual in arm length or shoulder width. First: This jacket is beautiful. The leather is really beautiful and the stitching quality, etc. is all top notch. I REALLY wanted this jacket to work. It's hard to find any moto jacket that doesn't have that horrible mandarin snap collar (Dear Manufacturers... Please... a little variety here?) Anyway, from a design style, leather quality, assembly quality, etc. This is a beautiful jacket. I originally ordered a large, but was absolutely swimming in it. The waist was huge and I could almost fit my girlfriend in the back of the jacket. The sleeve length was good - but the sleeves were surprisingly tight. No way I could wear a sweater or anything under that jacket - probably just a work shirt or t-shirt. And, in spite of the extra size - the shoulders (with the RSD armor purchased separately) were kinda tight. So, I ordered the medium... the medium was way too tight in the shoulders and chest - length to the waist was good and size around the waist was good. But the sleeves were embarrassingly short and WAY too tight. with the RSD armor in the sleeves and shoulders, I couldn't flex into a riding position. My recommendations for this jacket would be a manufacturer's revisit to the fitting measurements and putting in some gussets in the shoulders so that the cut across the back and under the arms can be a little more fitted - but still give room to move. Also, sleeve length and tightness... I don't have big arms or forearms... not a gym rat... I guess if you're an 18 year old hipster with a size 38 chest and stubby arms... you're golden. If you're a NORMAL sized person... this probably won't fit.

Great Jacket

Everything I hoped for and more. Great quality and attention to detail. Glad I went for the smaller fit. Couldn't recommend this more.

Great looking, great price, great quality

Just received my jacket today and my first impressions are very good. I was worried about fitment because my measurements were in between sizes, as usual. After some research online I found that river-road tends to run large so I rounded my measurements up to the closest size and got that. I suggest you do the same the jacket fits me perfectly. The jacket looks sturdy and well stitched. Although there is no padding I'm very confident it will hold up to protect me from any road-rash should a low-side incident ever occur. The jacket has more pockets than you would know what do to with. The two outside waist pockets have zippers, the chest vents double as extra pockets. On the inside there are breast and waist level pockets on the removable liner with velcro and a breast pocket on the jacket. More than enough room for keys, phone, wallet, papers, rubber ducky, etc. Overall I think it's easy to see why this jacket has a full five-star rating. If you like the looks, you won't be disappointed in any other way.
