    Icon 1000 Elsinore Boots

One thousand is an empirical number that forms the boundary between boy and man. The displacement threshold between expert and novice. One thousand has always been the goal. The finest leathers, textiles, & armor have gone into every item in the ICON 1000 collection. Every detail has been critiqued and examined. Every style has endured countless miles of testing and refinement. The end result is the finest collection of motorcycle riding apparel Icon's ever created. They sincerely hope you will enjoy wearing the ICON 1000 gear as much as they’ve enjoyed making it.

The Elsinore’s five-strap, alloy-buckle chassis, stamped metal heel plate, and internal steel shank combine for a serious dose of moto-x homage. The traditional Goodyear welt construction mates the Icon street-specific sole to the magnificent leather upper. A medial entry zipper, allocated from Paratrooper jump boots, is the only luxury the Elsinore will allow itself. A modern relic from an era when men were iron and tanks were steel. The Elsinore, old-school MX reinterpreted for the urban sprawl.

    Features:
    • 12” top grain leather upper
    • Goodyear™ welt construction
    • Icon cast metal buckles
    • Icon stamped metal heel plate
    • Heat pressed leather shifter panel
    • Heat pressed molded leather shin plate
    • Internal ankle protection
    • Axialmetric steel shank
    • YKK® zippers

      Good fit, good boot

The boots look great and the fit is really good. I've only had them a short time but the craftsmanship looks solid, without frays or loose pieces. Comes with a replacement metal "buckle". It's difficult to find long lasting products these days. You would likely spend more on hiking boots than what these cost - and so far they are worth every penny.

Not a durable as they look...

I kept my eye on these boots for a few years waiting for the price to go down. It never did so I pulled the trigger anyway. They are a great looking pair of boots. That is the only good thing about them. The fit is horrible. It took almost a week to break in and I still have problems sitting down on low seats and walking on stairs. I can't shift up in a standard riding position. I have sat on an Honda F6B and CTX 1300 and good luck going out of first. My biggest complaint is that the boots now squeak after getting caught in the rain last week. It's driving me crazy that I shell out $245 bucks for these boots and they squeak after getting a little wet. I've even oiled them still no stopping in sight. So pretty much if you want to pay $245 for a pair of boots that look awesome, but won't be able to wear on anything without forward controls buy these boots. Otherwise just wait for Speed and Strength to come out with a pair that are more durable at half the cost.

      excellent boots

I've had these boots for 4 months now. They are great. They wear good, offer excellent protection and ride good. They're easy to take off and put on. I've not had any problems with mine. They look awesome. I like the retro look of them blended with the new protection features.

      Careful......

Great fit, mean retro look. Too bad you can't ride a motorcycle while wearing them. The toe is very thick and points slightly upward causing the rider to dig awkwardly for the shift lever when upshifting and downshifting is easier when you use your heel rather than your toe. Now where is the "Function" star rating so I can give these boots 0 stars?

      Milquetoast to Mad Max

A big dystopian shout-out to Icon for making this awesome boot. Wear these in a Mad Max, Resident Evil, Priest, End of the World As We Know It scenario. Very comfortable with short break-in. Good quality control. Thick leather great protective toe shift pad (why don't all boots have these!?) and the boot is very protective. Sized at the higher end of your range of shoe sizes, so if you normally wear between a 9.5-10.5, order the 10.5, especially if you wear heavier socks.

      Nice Boots

Excellent boots! As I saw in reviews before I bought them they are taller than most boots which will probably require most to raise the shift lever. I bought a size 10; I usually wear a 10-10.5 in most footwear. They fit absolutely perfect once you slip them on...........after an hour or two of wear I wonder if I should have gone with a half size bigger. No complaints, these are heavy duty and heavy cool boots.

      Wow ... that's a boot

As said in many reviews they just look great but beyond that they provide the protection I want from my boots. I wear these boot from Highway to daily commute including offroading on my CRF and riding the quad as well. They also provide good protection from water and low temperatures. They're not 100% waterproof but close. Great boot, great look. Good job ICON.

      Great Buy!!!

These boots are a great buy. I spent my $$$ on lesser quality boots and I regretted it. Got them in brown and they pretty much go with everything. I'm riding an Iron 883 and with these boots I had to adjust the shifter slightly as the toe box is a little big. They're stiff out of the box, so wear them around your house for a day or two and they'll start to break in nicely. You won't be angry your dropped the coin on these.

Best boots I've owned — with caveat

The Pro: They fit like a second skin right out of the box. Took them to Morocco in June for three weeks of everyday riding, where they were soaked, bashed, whacked by large stones, and abraded by gravel and branches. They rocked. The Con: In the first month after receiving them, I knocked the retention posts off of two of the buckles. I contacted Icon and they immediately mailed me a complete replacement set.

      disappointment first day

Got my boots and went for my first ride. Came home and the zipper had burst at the ankle on left boot. Good thing the zipper reversed or I couldnt get my foot out. It has happened again since. Spoils an otherwise comfortable boot.

      Great Look - Questionable Durability

I've been wearing them on my daily commute (both to and from work) and I'm just seeing small cases of wear that shouldn't be happening with $240 boots. The top lining of the inside sole (where the "icon" print faces up) is coming undone and theres a little more wear than expected on the top of my left boot (where I shift). Besides that, I haven't had any buckles or soles failing. They do hold up well in the rain though, and I only have to wear one pair of socks during winter rides.

      Bad Materials

At first, one of the buckles mysteriously broke. I'm not doing anything crazy on these to distress the boots. When I contacted Icon it was a series of run arounds to replace one small buckle they could have just tossed in the mail. Two months later, yeah, I get a new pair of boots. Great right? Wrong. I pull one of the boots out of the brand new box and guess what? Part of the buckle broke. WOW. Uh, good to know quality control in China is on top of this.

      icon ,

Love the look, but the price is a little high, but they are badd#%$ looking. First problem though is after only about two months of wear the soles separated from the boot itself, on both left and right boot. Motorcycle superstore wouldnt replace so im out 200$ plus for the boots and I must get them repaired for $$$$ or toss em in the trash. Very disapointed on the price versus durability.

      very awesome boots!

These boots are great looking and function fantastic! I wear them mostly on the highways and not so much for short rides, they are comfortable enough to walk around in all day although there is limited ankle flexibility which is pretty expected. The only issue i ran into at first was the shift lever and the boot size but I moved the shift lever up a little bit and there was no longer an issue! highly recommended!
