Product Information

Icon 1000 Rimfire Gloves

One thousand is an empirical number that forms the boundary between boy and man. The displacement threshold between expert and novice. One thousand has always been the goal. The finest leathers, textiles, & armor have gone into every item in the ICON 1000 collection. Every detail has been critiqued and examined. Every style has endured countless miles of testing and refinement. The end result is the finest collection of motorcycle riding apparel we’ve ever created. We sincerely hope you will enjoy wearing the ICON 1000 gear as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.

The Rimfire is old-world styling, top-shelf materials and cutting edge technology. The Gunn cut pattern imbues the Rimfire with a sophisticated rancher silhouette of years gone by. Constructed of select drum-dyed French cowhide, the Rimfire embodies the meaning of functional elegance. Pre-tensioned elastic in the palm reduces bunching. Integrated D3O® knuckle armor and a cadre of metal palm rivets provide a roadworthy pedigree. The Rimfire is a riding glove that captures the fortitude and grace of a more civilized era.

Features:

  • D3O® armor in knuckle
  • Abrasion resistant premium grade French cowhide chassis
  • Floating knuckle construction for flexibility
  • Secure wrist closure keeps glove in place
  • Pre-curved palm and finger design
  • Riveted palm has Nomex™ heat-resistant backing
  • Item # 44945

Good Gloves

Great gloves. My only comment is that the finishing on the fingers could have been a little cleaner.

Some discomfort where fingers join the palm of the hand

I was very excited when I found these gloves, they sounded great and I really liked the look. Immediately after the first ride, I noticed that the special reinforcement of the glove where the fingers connect with the palm of the hand was bothering me. I thought that the issues would have disappeared after the first period of breaking-in but I am still suffering from this issue. Hope the break-in period is longer than expected since I do like these gloves a lot.

Good Gloves

I like these gloves. They are comfortable and have good feel for the controls. They fit well. I wear a size large.

Good but IMO not the best looking gloves

Fit was fair. I wear a med. but it felt just a tad larger. The finish is what I really do not like about these gloves. The fingers are sewn inside out. So it gives you a finish that does not look clean. I am not sure why this was done this way. Maybe so it will be more comfortable inside? But it really makes the glove look a bit off looking. Bottom line for the price not worth it. There are gloves with much more for the price.

Fair gloves on their own, do not match the jacket though...

Gloves are ok, don't like the cuff the way it flares does not mesh well with the Icon 1000 Chapter jacket. Purchased the jacket & gloves. Jacket is top notch, gloves are not from similar cuts of leather. The gloves are not the same color or texture as the jacket. For these prices ($90 gloves and $600 jacket) I expected more. I wrote to Icon who suggested just returning them which didn't help much. MS is amazing with exchange/returns so all is well now.
