    Icon Women's Alliance Chrysalis Helmet

Blossoming from its cocoon, the intrepid catepillar unfolds into a glorious skull-winged monarch. For if there weren’t skulls, what kind of helmet would this be? Certainly not another classic from the pen of our very own Tanner. BTW – Icon made it in purple because all women hate pink - Facebook® told us so.

Evolved & refined. Icon has never been satisfied with the status quo - which is why Icon created the new Icon Alliance™ helmet. Based on the proven Alliance SSR, this Nextgen helmet is fitted with a multitude of key refinements. The first revision is the new EPS liner. They’ve listened to the customers’ requests and reshaped the EPS liner into a more oval geometry. This new headform increases rider comfort by slightly elongating the entire inner circumference. Combine this geometry with their removable Hydra-Dry™ wicking comfort liner and the result is a nearly perfect rider-focused enclosure. To further increase rider comfort, they’ve revised the entire venting system. Much like a finely tuned motor, they’ve reshaped and enlarged the intake and exhaust ports for increased airflow.

Additional ventilation ports have also been added to the lateral aspect of the helmet to further increase ventilation. The shield itself has been upgraded to Icon’s distortion-free Pro-Shield™.  The Pro-Shield™ features the ProLock™ shield locking system, graphic enabled sideplates, fog-free coating, and a no-tools shield change interface. Continuing with their commitment to excellence, the Alliance is constructed with premier manufacturing processes and stringent quality assurance procedures. This, combined with rigorous testing, assures that the Alliance meets or exceeds the high safety standards set by DOT, ECE, SG and SAI.

    Features:

    • All world standard, meets or exceeds the following: DOT FMVSS 218 (us), ECE 22-05 (Europe), SAI AS1698 (Australia) & SG (japan) safety and testing standards. Does not ship with SAI or SG certification stickers unless purchased from an authorized dealer in that country

Nice looking helmet, but made of cheap plastic !

My wife has been riding for 20 years and would only wear HJC helmets, until she saw this beauty in our local motorcycle dealer. The drawback was it was 250 dollars at the dealer, so when I found it on this website, I was happy to surprise her with it. The fit was great, good airflow and of course she loved the way it looks. The problem is that Icon clearly makes the helmet out of cheap plastic since she hasn't even had it three weeks and already both the left and the right sides of the Pro Shield Pivot parts where the shield holds into place are torn and worn so whenever she flips her shield up, the shield pops off because the cheap worn plastic can't hold it in place anymore. Clearly Icon knows it's a problem since they sell Icon Pro Shield Pivot Kits to replace their cheap plastic parts for another 10 dollars. Not worth the hassle. Just don't buy it, now I understand why she loves HJC, they've never been made of poor quality cheap plastic.

      Great Helmet!

This is my first helmet and I have been wearing it for over a month now. I have nothing but good things to say about it! Never fogs up, love the vents, fits snug and comfortable padding.

      Love It!

I’ve purchased an Icon flat black rubatone helmet before n I love it! Great styling, great fit n I definitely trust the brand for its quality. My last helmet goes well w/my flat orange bike but now that I found this purple one w/orange hues in it, I just had to have it! Only thing I wish it had was either Bluetooth/Ipod jack to plug straight into the helmet for music purposes. But I feel the price is not bad for an all around great helmet!
