Bang for your buck

This jacket is everything I needed in an all season jacket. The fit is great especially since it's adjustable everywhere. Just order one size up for the thermal vest. It’s ACTUALLY waterproof!! But it's also capable of being a great summer jacket with all the vents and zip-out thermal. Not to mention how light of a jacket it is as well. Thank you TourMaster for a great 2012 3rd gen transition jacket. At less than two hundred bucks you can't beat this product with any others on the market.

Long Term Review... I Love This Jacket!

I've done about 8K miles in this jacket from temps ranging to 108 to 35 degrees in blazing sun and pouring rain (all in one trip). One trip was 4+ hours in the rain and the zippers didn't leak at all. Hard padding placement is adjustable and very comfortable. Easy to make adjustments to the vents on-the-go. The only thing I would change is possibily a little more reinforcement of the zipper at the bottom of the jacket.

Worth the money

I was looking for Transition 2 series Jacket and was notified that new 3-Series has rolled out. I went with this purchase, since previous 2-Series had good reviews. It really does pretty good job even during early morning cold weather like 32+ It keeps whole body under weather control. Still had not got opportunity to use them in summer. I am overall happy with this product and would seriously recommend this one.

Tourmaster transition series 3

I'm amazed by the features on this jacket. And with the lining out I get plenty of flow through ventilation with it. Enough to stay comfortable in 90 degree temps. The armor appears to be good. Lots of pockets. I love the little pocket on the left arm sleeve. My mini garage door opener fits there perfectly. And I don't have to unzip it to use it. So far no issues. Though putting my Iron Butt medal through the Cordura took some doing. A really great jacket with lots of features!

Nice Jacket

I bought the hi-viz and it really gets the attention of others. I am 6' and 220 lbs and ordered a 2XL. It fit just fine and the sizing is comparable to other 2XL products I wear. I have short arms and my dress shirts are usally a little long on me and the same was true with the jacket. Great cool weather to cold weather jacket but even with the liner out and the vents zipped open I prefer to wear a mesh jacket in the summer.

Tourmaster Transition 3.0 Jacket

These guys do it right. Been rid'n for years and finally actually bought a touring jacket. This jacket's great; looks and fits well with good features. I wear my heated vest underneath it on cold days and it's pure heaven. Highly recommend this jacket.

Great value

This is the best m/c jacket I have ever owned. MSS service was great, too. My riding is exclusively adventure touring and commuting. I am thinking I'll need the over-pants by winter. (Please ride responsibly.)

So far this jacket seems to be well made of good materials. It has served me well, but the real test will be the first predicted cold wet windy weekend. I believe it will meet or exceed my expectations. Its less then half the cost of the only other serious contenders. That is a pretty good selling point to me.

Great Jacket

I ride a bike that tends to be warm in the summer, so ventilation is key. I am able to ride with comfort (when moving) in +95F weather with this jacket. I think it definitely improves other driver’s visibility of you in the high visibility colors. Not too cold yet (54F), so have not added the liner in for the 20 minute commute to work yet. This is a great jacket and I am very happy with the value!

Excellent jacket from Western Colorado to Ecuador

After 10,000 miles, this jacket is comfortable from 30°F with liners in & up to 85° zipped out w/ vents open; add a fleece vest for 20°F. It is very waterproof. I wear a 17.5 x 36 shirt & the XXL fits well. The pads are slightly adjustable & come out easily for washing. The day glow color is very visible, but I wish there were a little more reflective striping front and back. It is very well made & durable, but I have yet to test it sliding on asphalt. Excellent for 3 season use.

Great durable waterproof 3 season jacket

I forgot to mention the little zipper pocket in the left sleeve in my previous review. It is perfect for holding a driver's license, 2 credit cards & 5 hundred dollar bills. Take the ribbon off the zipper pull & it is almost invisible. At worst, it looks like a zipper to adjust the cuff diameter. I put a decoy wallet in my pants & traveled the back roads of South America with more confidence.

Ain' no other way to say it...

There isn’t any other way to say it except this is a fine jacket! It's well thought-out, well designed, well-built, and with the warm zip out liner, very versatile as well. I've only worn it on our cool (near the coast) evenings and didn't even need my down vest. That means I can't really rate its warm weather capabilities, but after closely looking over its ventilation features, my educated guess would be that it'll work every bit as well then.

Top of the line jacket!!!!!!!!!!

After reading reviews and doing many hours of searching, I bought this jacket. I'm 6ft, 225lbs, muscular build, and the 2X is a perfect fit for me with just enough room underneath for an extra layer if need be. Took a 380-mile trip the other day with high's only into the lower 40's and with a light vest on underneath this jacket and a pair of TourMaster insulated pants, I stayed very comfortable. I'm riding a GSX-R 1000 so remember the cold wind was hitting me in the chest all day.
