I have always used K&N filters for my cars, so I knew the reliability I was getting off the bat. The filter itself is great, and I have zero issues with how the filtering screens actually filter. My major gripe is how TERRIBLE the "nut" was at the end of the cartridge casing itself. For my 1983 Honda Shadow 750, It was so hard to get it off with the standard piece at the end I needed to go out and get a new oil filter wrench to get the job done. Not cool K&N. Other than that, the filter works fine.

I use a K&N on my Jeep Wrangler and I love it so I ordered one for my 1999 Suzuki intruder 1500. Two problems, first it does not include a new O-ring so you have to peel out the ring from your old filter ( mine of course broke apart ). Second, there were two small thumb nail shaped pieces missing at the bottom ( maybe a manufacture defect ) and the quality of the mold was subpar.

Very clear instructions and makes a noticeable difference with my Vance & Hines 2 into 2's and Fuelpak. Good savings also compared to the Screamin' Eagle equivalent, over $150 less.

I was using as a replacement filter for a Forcewinder. It has nowhere for the head breather tube to go . Good filter, but did not help me ....
