A follow up to the popular Roadsmart tire, the Roadsmart II fills in the performance gaps to be an even more capable sport touring tire. Made with Dunlop’s unique cosecant-curve groove tread pattern, the Roadsmart II is surefooted in wet conditions while also providing plenty of grip to handle the power of larger displacement sport touring bikes. And with a multi-compound design, the Dunlop Roadsmart II front tire wears well on long trips.

  • New tread rubber compounds include silica to help deliver impressive performance in wet conditions while also extending wear
  • New cosecant-curve tread pattern helps promote even tire wear and stiffens the pattern for reduced tire squirm and extended tire longevity
  • Increased tread depth further promotes water channeling while also extending tire mileage
  • MT Multi-Tread rear tire incorporates a long-wearing compound in the center of the tire tread and a lateral-grip compound on each shoulder to enhance cornering performance and provide class-leading grip and feel
  • Intuitive Response Profile (IRP) intuitively allows greater latitude in line choice while cornering and provides remarkably linear steering at various lean angles, and puts down a bigger footprint at extreme lean angles, for enhanced grip and handling

    roadsmart works for me

I am on my second set of these tires, having just put a roadsmart II on the front of the SV650s. great feel in the corners. Also are on my FJR1300 and they are wearing great. much better than previous brands on the big FJR. recomend them highly

    Roadsmart ll front tire

Excellent tire so far. Just got back from a West Virginia trip on my R1200RT. 1200 miles, in and out of rain every day on some Awesome mountain roads. Tire works flawlessly wet or dry! Light, precise steering and confidence inspiring to ride on on any surface. 2000 miles so far, wear is minimal so far. My new Favorite Tire !!!

    Dunlop Roadsmart II

No issues - front isn't bothered at all by grooved pavement and in the light shower recently, there were no surprises. Of course, it's too early to comment on tread life but I expect them to wear at least as well (hopefully better) than the original Roadsmarts.

    Impressive

Changed from Diablos on my GSXR to a pair of these after doing lots of reading on decent tires for the long wet and cold Vancouver winter. Done 1,000 km on them so far and WOW what a difference. So much more stability in wet and slippery conditions. They don't track at all over grooves in the road, and where as my old Pirellis used to let you know about every line or overbanding you came across, these Dunlops cruise over them with no charge in course or feedback. They really are incredible.

    Dunlop Road Smart Tires

I just purchased my second set. I'm going to get just north of 11,000 miles out of the rear tire and about 12,000 on the front. Best tire I've ever had in 40 years of riding. The handling is great in all conditions and the tread life is nothing short of amazing. I am a 230 pound rider. I frequently have my Concourse 1400 loaded for long distance travel. I can't say enough about these Dunlops!

Road Smart II - 08 VFR

The RS II's are great all-around tires for sport touring. I have 5300 miles on the set. Front looks almost new. Rear is flat spotted on the center track about 1-1/2 inches wide, but it is what I would expect for 5300 miles in Mobile. Wet traction is second to none. Deep lean angles in the corners are no problem and traction is great. Stability is good and turn-in is light and predictable. They track well through a corner holding a true line with no tip-in tendencies.

    Dunlop Road Smart II Review

I would recommend this tire to anyone with either a sport bike or sport touring bike. I am running the set front and back on my CBR929RR and they are a great tire, almost just as sticky as a regular sport tire but much more stable with the profile I find. Great set up for anyone who rides all the time in all-weather situations such as I do.

    made for the Hayabusa

The Dunlop rep at the Chicago motorcycle show back said these were designed with the Hayabusa in mind due to its weight. I purchased a set and I was surprised. They stick like glue when corning. I put on 2500 miles so far and they looks as if new. I actually can feel the V of the tire when cornering and coming back to the upright position. I can't rate wet conditions, haven't driven in the rain as of yet. But do blow your money on other tires that last 2-3K.

    good tire

Feels different in the rain but the traction is good even when wet. Over 4000 miles and still looks brand new.

    ROAD SMART 2

The road smart 2 feels great in the corners and on dry pavement. I feel very confident and stable as i did with the road smart 1. That's why i went with the RS2's hoping to get just a little more if i can. I can't speak about wet conditions or tread life simply because i only have clocked about 200 miles on them and who know when it will rain around here.

    Not impressed

Pros: A very good ST tire, but it doesn't inspire the utter confidence that a top sport tire does. At the limits the tire displays minor and predictable slippage. Stops extremely quickly. Cons: Hard carcass transmits road imperfections to chassis disruptively. Carcass too hard for load rating, contact patch too small at OEM PSI's. Tire grips only when aggressive with throttle--okay on track, suicide on streets. Tire tends to slide on wet, polished roads.

    RoadSmart II

With still under 500 miles on these tires, they seem to be a good choice for the ST1300. Very stable while in a straight line, maybe not as confidence-inspiring as I would prefer when leaned over. Nothing in the rain yet, and tread life yet to be seen. So far so good.

    Not impressed with this tire

I am a fan of the Motorcycle Superstore, but not of these tires. My 2001 R1100RT wore these out much faster than expected. Handling is average and not confidence-inspiring. I'm a gentle rider and inflate my tires 4-5 psi higher than the owner's manual recommends, on the recommendation of several BMW mechanics. Front tire wore unevenly, a typical BMW problem, but not for my former Metzler 880's. I'm replacing these with Michelin P2's.
