Maier - Rear Shock Cover - 2008 BMW R1200GSA

Didn't like the water spray on my legs and was looking for an economical solution to the pricey BMW side panels. After a little research, this guard seemed to fit the bill. Fit was good, installation was easy and done in minutes. Looks like it will keep most of the forward and side spray from the rear wheel to a minimum. Wondering if there will be any noise/vibration from it? Have had good past experiences with both Motorcycle Superstore and Maier products.

mud guard for bmw gs

Im not sure I got the right one. I asked for one that would fit a 2012 gs with esa. I had to take the battery box apart to get it to fit. Im sure theres un-needed pressure on the guard cause it didnt bolt up with out me loosing up everything around it! Looks nice, and has plenty of coverage on back of motor and shock, which is what I was looking for. Maier makes nice stuff. The other BMW guys tried a few before like'n this one the best! Buy it !

Wanted to do this for the 800GS and never did. Should help keep the shock a little more healthy.
