The Givi 42L Outback top case is just what I envisioned. One can tell right off that the designers had trekker in mind when they created this product. It is rugged, looks good, and is extremely functional. The various rails and mount points make it easy to attach a roll bag or other gear.
The Givi monokey system works great. I used the universal adapter with my CSC RX-3 Adventure bike and it worked out alright.
Just bought anohter to replace one that I threw out because it was damaged in a crash. Forgot that the Lifetime Warranty would have covered repairs or replacement - Dang!
However there were some improvements that made getting a new one worth it. Great and tough bag.
The bag is actually larger than expected, but has s great profile in my V-strom. Can fit a soft lunch bag, hat, keys, glasses &a more in it! I'm extremely pleased with it! Fast ship times, great bang for the buck!! Can't go wrong unless you just need a huge bag.
This is a really nice tank bag; not too big, not too small. I had to use the strap mount because my tank cover is plastic. Works nicely and seems to stay in position in strong crosswinds. The fact that there is space between the bag and the mount works great for me as I can run a power cable in between.
Blew off at speed a few times..other than that- good
I like everything about the bag except for the few times it blew off while riding. It freaked me out because something was hitting me in the chest and when I realized it was the tank bag, my phone was in the map pocket..
I think if the magnets fit better on my bike, it wouldn't be as much of an issue. I ride a Yamaha FJ09 2015. It doesn't even fit my friend's Yamaha FZ8 2013. Everything else about it is nice and I liked that the rain cover was clear so I could still see the map pocket.
