WOW!

Until I actually wore a top of the line helmet I never knew what I was missing. Once I trimmed the cheekpads, I now have the perfect helmet! Lightweight, great airflow and very aerodynamic (even with the visor). Visibility is wide and clear. I ride in extreme heat and humidity, the XD4 provides lots of air flow. I highly recommend the XD4!

Nice surpise

I read the reviews and was worried about the extra noise and adjustability. Coming out of a Shoei Multitec and didn't know if I would like giving up the flip up feature. I normally wear a large and had tried on other Arai helmets to check, but this one runs a "Little" smaller than others in the cheek area. So I traded Superstore out for an XL and it was perfect. The noise levels on this helmet are MUCH quieter than my MultiTec and the venting is fantastic. Id go with a pinlock shield, it tends to fog more than I like. I give Motorcycle Superstore huge marks for customer service. Quick refund on the exchange. Overall, I don't think I will leave Arai, and Ive been a long time Shoei guy. Just that much better quality of fit and finish....worth every penny.

Perfect even for 100+ degree temps.

Great helmet, love the semi old school look. The only time you get major wind buffeting is when you do a head check on changing lanes. Only really notice when doing 60+ mph. The air flow is wonderful, just make sure you don't close the mouth port when pulling it on your head. All around perfect buy!

XD-4 .... worth every penny

I typically go for cheaper head gear that is still DOT/SNELL approved, but went well over what I have paid in the past for the XD-4. Is it worth it. Every penny! The venting on the helmet is quite decent, however I will need to have it out for a few hours in the heat to decide how well. Fit and finish are top notch, and this is the first helmet I have owned that actually seems to be designed to easily handle wearing sun glasses.

XD-4

This was my first Aria helmet. The fit and construction is good, air flow is ok(could be better), and the only downside is the visor vibrates at speed and it translates to my earplugs in a seady streem of humming. It is a loud helmet with wind noise. Had to ready tighten down the visor mounting screws to reduce the vibration. The visor should be a bit more stiffer to eliminate the vibration. Overall a good helemt and would recomend it to adventure riders.
