The filter fits my sv650 just fine, but the "convenient" nut on the end that lets you remove it with a regular socket just came off the filter when it was time to swap it out for a new one. So i had to use a regular oil filter wrench. Not something you would expect from an "upmarket" product which K&N wants you to believe they are.

I use a K&N on my Jeep Wrangler and I love it so I ordered one for my 1999 Suzuki intruder 1500. Two problems, first it does not include a new O-ring so you have to peel out the ring from your old filter ( mine of course broke apart ). Second, there were two small thumb nail shaped pieces missing at the bottom ( maybe a manufacture defect ) and the quality of the mold was subpar.

Always use K&N filters, auto or bike, and am never disappointed. Felt the HP difference too. The only gripe I have was the fit. If you have done this setup on a CBR1000RR, you know it's not a perfect fit, but still works...

It is as it seems. Outstanding and the easy turn nut feature on the casing makes it even better.
