I LOVE these pants for winter riding...fit is awesome and very comfy, and they do keep me warm. However...they ONLY Water Resistant and NOT Waterproof. Even on a Goldwing, which sheds most of the rain off of you....your butt and legs will get wet. Otherwise...an awesome pair of pants!

The Venture Tourmaster air pants came highly recommended by a friend. They are every bit as good as I anticipated.

This is my second pair of tourmaster overpant. I've always liked the price and the easy full side zip entry exit. My previous pair lasted eight years until the plastic side zipper started to give out. The new pair seem a little thinner offering less cold weather protection into the low thirties but fine from forties up. I would have liked a little more Velcro at the bottom as I find in the summer when I wear short boots I get air up my pant leg. Fit is good but I agree it runs a little short for riding position when your knees are bent the leg cuff comes off the boot and air can get in. I'm 5'-7 with 29" inseam and 34" waist. I ordered large short and for walking around the fit is perfect but I would order large regular to keep the pants on top of the boot next time.

These pants are great! Very comfortable. Price is a bit high when purchasing new. Women's sizes are disappointing. So I wear men's sizes and the features and sizing is great. Why not for the women's pants???

I bought a size 30-32 short. Inseam at 30", mine is 29". I wear 30-32" waist jeans to I bought 30-32, but it was a little loose. So not too sure on that front. Doesn't fit like a glove, but it fits for the most part. Material seems to be of high quality. Armor and padding at the proper locations and offer a great level of confidence when I ride. I have not try the liners, of which there are two, a waterproof and a warming one. If I use those, I would have to wear nothing but a pair of briefs, the pants will be very snug with those liners on. I rode in a downpour with no waterproof liner and vents closed and legs stayed dry. Granted it was a short 15 minutes hop. So on its own, the pants offer some water resistant. I haven't owned the pants long enough to comment on durability. And as always, I always wish things were cheaper, worth the price.

First, I've been using Firstgear textile jackets and pants for over a decade, and there's a reason for that. I've tried some other jackets and pants, here and there, due to riding buddies selling off gear, and giving me really good deals. I've sold those, and went back to my Firstgear every time. Why? Fit, Finish, Features, and quality of build. I've stuck with the Kilimanjaro line until this purchase. I could not be more pleased with the Kathmandu over pants. Out here in the Pacific Northwest, in one day, you can go from starting temps in the 40s to the high 80s / mid 90s by mid day - and encounter rain - and then get back down to the 40s by end of day. I really like the suspenders, and how the liners in the pants are 3/4 length. Plus the number of pockets, and pocket slit as I call it if you're using heated gear during the winter time. I had to order / go through 4 different sizes, but that was not an issue with Motorcycle Super Store, or Firstgear. When buying on line, you have to expect that you may have to re-order a different size. Returns were easy with M.S.S. - which I give a kudos to them for that. Just keep all tags, hanger, and the plastic cover in case you have to return an item. As for the pants - they are excellent, fit great, and have kept me completely dry in rainy situations. As far as sizing, as some reviewers stated, go with one size larger. I'm 5'10 / 190lbs with a 38" waist and 32" inseam, and with poly-thermal pants on, cargo pants over them, and the liner in the pants ( simulating winter ), I actually went with a 42 short, over a 40 short for comfort - which with the velco straps allows for tightening up the waist for spring / summer riding, and expanding the waist for late fall / winter riding. I give the pants 5 stars, and would recommend them to anyone. Oh - and price point - the whole set cost less than just a Darien jacket with no liner. You can't go wrong with these pants. One very pleased customer here ..... :)
