Product Information

Icon PDX Waterproof Gloves

If you were to make the riding season in Portland into a pie chart it would look something like a pizza with one small slice missing. The small slice is the time when it's not raining. The rest of the year is well, pretty much wet. Like the rest of our PDX line, the PDX waterproof gloves were made for the rain. Our biggest challenge was to make them waterproof without compromising dexterity and feel. Embossed neoprene flex panels in critical areas provide plenty of flex and pre-curved palm and fingers ensure great feel from your controls. The waterproof textile chassis with over-the-cuff gauntlets keep the moisture out. Protection comes by the way of abrasion-resistant palms and heavy duty construction.

Features:

  • Waterproof textile chassis
  • Abrasion resistant palm
  • Embossed neoprene flex panels in critical areas
  • Pre-curved palm and finger design
  • Hook and loop closure system
  • Over the cuff gauntlet
  • Elastic at the cuff
  • Item # 41043

PDX Waterproof Gloves

I ordered the largest size offered. I've been riding to work on the cold mornings for several weeks using these to break them in and see if they'll stretch out a little more with wear. I ordered the XL, but wished they'd offered a XXL. I will continue to wear them as much as possible to see if the fit improves. Any ride longer then 1/2 hour , now, would put a pinch on the ends of my fingers. I think they would definitely help in the rain.

Snug fit, saw the reviews about not being waterproof. I've ridden in the rain and snow, gloves kept hands warm and dry. Yes gloves got soaked but hands stayed dried. Going to reorder a XL and keep the Lg for passenger

Disappointed, glad I packed an extra pair of gloves for trip. After riding the first 100 mile leg, stopped and changed them out, they finally dried out over night. Snug fit and warm in dry weather.

They're okay

Bought these for cold weather riding. Tried them by themselves for one ride and my hands were numb. It was only 4 miles (my daily commute) so I was expecting them to work better. Granted, that was in 23 degree weather. 40 degrees and above they work okay. I wore a liner with them and it didn't help much. They're a little tough on movement, but better than some winter gloves. If you want true winter gloves, get something else.

These gloves are surprisingly warm especially since they aren't listed as cold weather gloves. Sizing was perfect using Icon's sizing chart. The gauntlet fits fine over jacket sleeves and they aren't bulky so operating the controls isn't difficult. I can't comment on whether they are waterproof as I haven't ridden in the rain yet. IMO these are well made gloves that fit well, and are worth the price.

Yup, thats right! Supposed to be waterproof, totally soaked in 30 minutes in a light rain. Will try to return for something else.
