Excellent Product Except for Screws

Do you really care about these reviews? We use the product in our toy hauler and are 90% pleased. We just got a new bike and had to install two additional anchors so this time we were prepared for the 10% negative issue; we bought new screws before installing. Pay attention product control...replace the screws.

Problem with Screws

The screws supplied for mounting were not appropriate for Ford F-150 trucks. That vehicle has a double lined bed and bolts/nuts supplied were not long enough. I fixed with stainless steel self-taping screws, which would have been a great addition to the parts bag.

Screws strip out too easily

Had to trash all 4 tie downs I got, the heads of the screws stripped out making the tie downs worthless and unuseable. Could not find a replacement screw that would fit and went to several large hardware stores. Brass screws are too soft and strip out. Stop selling them.

Problems with Screws

Tried to mount four of these on a trailer, found that the stop nuts supplied with the package were so tight on the screws, the brass screws supplied in the package would strip every time. After struggling with it for hours, I decided to go with a different tie down system. Can't find screws at Lowes or Home Depot that will work in this type of clip. ery disappointing. Complete waste of money for me.

Versatile and great option

Put these in a trailer that is used for various things. Being able to remove the eyelet from the base is helps keep the trailer versatile. I put four in and held my motorcycle very well secured. Recommended!

Ancra-Quick Release Tie Down

I reviewed several options for tie downs and talked with other HD riders before selecting the Ancra-Quick Release. Yes, they cost more, but these are top of the line tie downs. What is a few extra dollars for a bike that cost over $20K...

Ancra quick release tie-down anchor

Using tapcon screws, I installed two into the concrete floor of my garage to keep the bike level using tie down straps, one strap on each side of the bike. I can work on the bike supported by the straps and/or raise it on a bike stand by myself without the fear of the bike falling over. You can remove the ring when not in use, allowing an almost flat floor to walk or drive over. They are great and very strong for the use, and the best part, very cheap for the design, construction, and benefits they provide.

Great tie down

These thing work great and they are very tough. If you have to tie down your bike or anything else, I highly recommend them.
