works fine

It is exhaust packing...how much can I say. Works great, and it is individual fibers like yarn instead of fiberglass sheet. Pretty easy to install, just follow FMF's instructions. I bought 2 bags, but only needed one to repack my 2 little bike silencers (KX100 & RM65).

FMF Silencer Packing

This packing greatly reduced the noise level of my sons bike. I would highly recommend this to dull the noise.

Good packing

This packing is different from the sheets of fiberglass I have used in the past. It is long strands of soft fiber, hundreds of them, thrown in the bag together with no rhyme or reason. I had trouble figuring it out at first, then I got a pair of scissors and cut what I needed to fit into my silencer, it worked well after that. Somehow it makes the silencer, or at least my silencer, sound a little different from the flat fiberglass material of yore. It is a quieter, deeper sound that has grown on me. Don't get me wrong, still sounds like a 2-stroke screamer, just a bit different pitch. I bought 4 bags of packing and plan to use it for an entire race season.
