Quality filter, budget price
Everything I've seen, read, and experienced about this filter seems to show that it's a quality filter, except the price! No way will I pay double for an OEM when the HiFlo appears to be as good as, if not better than the factory stuff.

The rubber grommets on the ends of this filter have an i.d. that is too large for the bypass tube that goes through the middle of the filter. Plus this does not come with a new o-ring for the cover. The NAPA filter I’ve been buying is the correct size and comes with a new o-ring.

Oil Filter Review
The filter fit perfectly and seems to be doing its job on my 2007 Kawasaki EX250-R Ninja. I'm glad I purchased three. This helped to offset the cost for each filter with the added shipping as well as knowing I have the correct part when it comes time for another oil change. Good Filter!

HiFloFiltro Oil Filter
I used this on my SV 650. They appear to be well made and are a fraction of the cost of the OEM part. I think it's a good idea to have a few oil filters on the shelf for a quick oil change without a trip to the dealer or waiting for one to arrive. I always order several. I got mine cheap and quick from Motorcycle Superstore the next day after ordering.

Yamaha Rhino filter. Housing is slightly undersized for end cap filter wrench, but then so is the OEM. OEM is $13, these were just over $8 with freight. I bought them on recommendation from race bike riders at Oregon Raceway Park. Specs say this has more filter area and heavier material than OEM. I will let you know about durability after a couple of filter changes.

Seems decent.
Normal filter, nothing to exiting. But the finish or the paint made it thicker than normal by a bit. My oil filter tool, proper for this size did not fit around it. I had to buy a different one, an adjustable one.

Why is it that these (and other) filters don't come with a .01 cent 'O' ring? The 'O'ring costs as much as the printing on the box! I know... lets get a gearhead to help out in Marketing. Filters are good and cost tons less than those at a bike shop!

Local dealers want $17.99 for an oil filter for my 2006 FZ1, and as far as I can tell, it is exactly the same unit as this HiFlo one. Which cost about $7.00. It installed easily, appears to run fine. I like to support local shops but this is a stupid price difference ! Doug / Tucson

I was not familiar with this brand of filters, but decided to order them anyway, because of price. They appear to be of good quality, and they fit perfectly. They came packaged with a plastic shield around the open end of the filter to prevent impurities from entering the filter prior to installation, which a thought was a neat idea. Overall, I’m happy with this filter.

I had been using BWM OEM oil filters for all my oil changes every 3K miles. I saw the HiFlo filters on MCSS, and decided to give it a try. I have gone through one complete 3K mile cycle, and the filter performed great. It provides an economical alternative to the BWM OEM filter.

Big Honda Style Oil Filter
This is the big version of the Honda oil filter. It is about 3 inches long. I use these two oil changes. They do seem to work well. Our local dealer sells these as Honda originals at times. So they are probably just as good. Cost benefit is about the same as buying the short one and changing every oil change.
