Product Description
The Leatt Adventure Brace is an injection molded glass reinforced nylon neck brace system designed by medical professionals and motorcycle enthusiasts to help prevent:
  • Hyperflexion: extreme forward head movement
  • Hyperextension: extreme rearward head movement
  • Lateral Hyperflexion: extreme sideways head movement
  • Axial loading: compression of the spinal column due to the effect of force on the helmet
  • Posterior hypertranslation: rearward movement of the head/helmet on the neck.
There is currently no other neck protection system available for motorcyclists that can effectively help prevent all of the above potential injuries. The design rationale behind the Leatt® ADVentureTM is to bring the head to a controlled stop. This is achieved by providing a padded rigid structure that acts as an alternate load path for neck forces. Helmet impacts otherwise transmitted from the helmet to skull and then to the neck are re-directed from the helmet to the brace to other body structures in a safe way.

The design of the Leatt® ADVentureTM prevents the helmet/head from projecting over the brace and therefore prevents a fulcrum action, which has been documented in literature pertaining to the use of collar devices. The Leatt® ADVenture™ works with most types of body armor and chest protectors. Over long distances, the Leatt® ADVenture™ will also offer some relief from neck fatigue. The Chest-Strap (for upright riding position) included with the Leatt® ADVenture™ is designed for the rider who may experience big air and flat-out whoop situations (motocross). Note: Not all riders will find the Chest-Strap necessary. The Leatt® ADVentureTM is compatible with all motorcycle helmet types and our design allows riders an adequate range of movement. The Leatt® ADVenture™ is designed for use on all motorcycles and ATVs for competition use, recreational riding and daily commuting. Leatt-brace® has been tested by BMW Munich, KTM Works Riders, the SABS (South African Bureau of Standards). It is also endorsed by MSA (Motorsport South Africa).

Matthew Howell Savannah,  GA Leatt Adventure Brace I thought this brace might get in the way of my helmet while looking over my shoulders or just interfere in general. Totally wrong. I barely noticed it was there. The bottom of my helmet did scrub it a couple times but, it wasn't an issue. Also, I thought it might look funny while on the street with my dual-sport. Wrong there, too. Its pretty low-profile. The lower parts fit right under my roost guard and my ballistic jersey with no problems. I think its pretty cheap insurance and I would recommend to friends.

Ryan Cantrell Nampa,  ID Great Protection for the Price Very comfortable to wear all day when riding any kind of motorcycle. I ride my KTM 950 and XR650R for 12 hours at a time, from the freeway to single track, and the neck brace isn't noticeable, nor is it a hindrance. It's a small price to pay for an often over-looked and important piece of equipment. It takes less time to get on and off than my helmet, and it's very light-weight. Overall, I'm very pleased with mine, and will wear it any time I wear my helmet (which is 99%) of the time.

Ronnie Dallas,  GA Leatt - Adventure Brace The protection benefit is priceless!! A cheap rubber feel of the soft parts. I really can't see the soft parts lasting very long, the Velcro is already failing before it was even used! for the price the Leatt Co. should use better quality rubber foam and better check their Quality Control!!

Robert Ruther Glen,  VA They should be a manadatory peice of equipment! The Leatt Brace should be an AMA mandatory piece of equipment for all competition riders in motocross. This brace lessens the impact and reduced the damage that could have happened in a crash that my son was involved in. I feel strongly that this is a lifesaver, and should be a part of every rider’s equipment. If you are just thinking about purchase, stop thinking and buy it! It will be the best investment in your rider that you can make.

Mark Taylor Raleigh,  NC Worth it. I love my leatt brace, I wouldn't ride without one. It makes my mom chill out a little more when she watches me ride/race. It’s worth any penny, anyone who rides NEEDS a neck brace. When you’re in the hospital after being in a crash you’re going to wish you just spent the little money it costs to protect your neck and be safer. Rather than being paralyzed and spending TONS of money on medical bills. The only thing that gets me is the power from blows and crashes need to be dispensed to other places than the collar bone. Also, If you’re looking at the adventure brace, go ahead and get the Moto GPX club or sport brace. I'm currently selling my adventure brace to take that money and a bit more to buy a Leatt GPX Club neck brace.

tyler neal surprise,  AZ didnt even know i had it on. I bought this and was wearing it around the house to try to get used to it before I went riding. I thought it would be terrible to wear while riding but it is very comfortable. It doesn’t feel weird at all. Never riding without because I know I’m much safer.

Shannon Fulfer Worland,  WY Worth The Money! I have 3 herniated discs in my neck and didn’t know if I was going to be able to keep riding for fear of injuring my neck further. I bought the Leatt Adventure and it has already exceeded my expectation. It has already saved me from hurting my neck further. I will never ride without. It was easy to get used to and is comfortable. It is well worth the money and if you ride you should definitely invest in this brace.

Jonathan Seattle,  WA Leatt Adventure Brase It took about 45 minutes to get the brace set up to fit me properly. After one day’s riding with this brace the best thing I can say about it is that I really didn't notice it was there . No problems moving my head or looking around. I strongly recommend this brace as part of everyone’s off road riding protection.

Paula Mercer,  PA Neck Brace When I purchased this for my son I prepared for the battle over wearing it as part of his regular racing gear. He tried it on, rode around out back and said, "it's not too bad." I didn't expect that but I was even more surprised after his first race with it and he said, "I'll never race without it again." Not only do we have added protection in the event of an accident, but the additional support helps him with the strain and the fatigue. We do have to find another chest protector that fits with the brace but he was due for a new one anyway. Even his camelback fit fine with it. Thank you for a little extra peace of mind.
