It is the newer style that is harder to get on the head but once it's on, it fits well. It is so much lighter than my kids 2 Fox helmets. Nice bike.

I purchased this helmet and am pleased with the construction and the cost. But the sizes are on the small side. I purchase a Lrg for a 7 yr old and it barely fit.

Great helmet for kids starting out, light, and looks good. The helmet fits to size. No hard crashes on it yet so I cant speak on durability.
