Comfortex Balaclava
Very protective from the elements and stinging bugs. Difficult to breathe though, until riding at speed. However, on an early morning ride with temps. in the 50's, the snug fit with the heat of your breath flowing out behind your neck, sure is a welcome addition.

Amazing!
I had to ride home at 4am at 35 degrees. If it wasn't for this i would have pulled over and stayed in a hotel. This stops the wind completely from coming from under the helmet! and it is very confortable. The neck is also long enough to be tucked in your jacket. This is my second balaclava and most definetely the best one. Its worth every penny! Raul

Keeps me warm
The Comfortex Balaclava is comfortable, warm, and fits well under my helmet. I've worn it several times when the temperatures were in the low to mid 30s and it kept my neck and ears warm. I would recommend it.

Provides the warmth without the weight
The day after receiving this balaclava, I went on a 4 day, 950 mile trip around the shoreline of Michigan's lower peninsula. In temperatures which never went above 55, and a full day of rain, in a 3/4 helmet, I never was cold and the comfort of the balaclava never was an issue. Given its price, I can't think of a higher value piece of gear I have. Highly recommended.

I wear a medium helmet, and the comfortex fits all sizes, to me it is too snug. Other than that I am satisfied with appearance, comfort, and value..Good product.....

A bit of a tight fit
I would probably have paid a bit more for a balaclava that fit better for my larger (I wear a XXL helmet) head. That being said, the neck protection is excellent in sub 40s temps. I would've liked a bit more material around the nose area.

The fit was very good overall but the only issue would be the eye opening staying tight around the face after a number of uses? I found it very easy to breath through while ridding.

keeping warm
Bought this to be able to ride in colder temps. Chin and throat got cold. This solves the problem. Works like I expected. Need high collar in the back but front is plenty long enough. I worried that it would be uncomfortable under the helmet, but feels fine.

Good enough....
Down sides:
-It's not long enough in the back, maybe another inch would have it fit better under the jacket
-The eye opening is a bit on the smallish side. It tends to show up a bit in the peripheral vision, XL helmet so it could be just my large head
-I don't like how it feels on my nose
Up sides:
-Keeps my neck/chin well out of chills way!
-Whole head stays warm (lowest temp is upper 40's so far)
-Over all it's comfortable. Just push the opening under my nose.

Balaclava is the Bombclava
9 degree wind-chill the other morning was the final test. People call me crazy because i don't believe in putting my bike up for the winter. But it don't snow here in Virginia, it just gets cold. So why should my bike have to be lonely. This balaclava is part of the reason it doesn't. I have had one twice as expensive and completely wore it out. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice balaclava, but this one fits better, and keeps me just as warm for half the price. I was skeptical, but not after my first sentence!!!!

Nice Product
I've used this balaclava extensively (yes, it does get cool here, in the southwest) for the last month. Only improvement I would make would be a breathing screen for your mouth/nose. As it is, you sometimes have to pull the garment down below your nose to clear fogging. Small matter. Overall, very satisfied.

I have not had a chance to really use it yet, the weather has been so nice here in Texas lately, however I did try it on with a full face helmet and it was very comfortable, but could be a little more open around the eyes. I think it will be fine out on the road as well, a good product for the price; I would / will buy another if this one wears out.

Great buy!
Purchased this to protect my neck and under my chin from the cool north Georgia winter air. It arrived right on time! It fits OK - maybe a little small - especially around the eyes. The "bib" is perfect - covers the neck and about 1/4 way down the chest. It's worked great so far! It's a great deal and I've recommended it to a number of other riders as well.

I've been using it for 3 or 4 weeks and it works great! My helmet fits great over it and it's very comfortable. This morning was 26 degrees and I didn't feel a bit of wind at 70 mph. The only negative I have found is the back could be a little longer to match the front. This won't be a problem if you have a jacket/coat with a taller collar. I wear a sport bike jacket with little to no collar. Even with that I don't feel much wind down the back of my neck. It just doesn't stay tucked in very well. Overall, great price and great product!

very windproof, very small too
Cuts the wind quite a bit, and since it fills all the little gaps around the helmet it results in a warmer, quieter ride. The biggest problem is that it seems very small to me... if I wear it as designed; the corners of my eyes are covered. The only usable way I can wear it is with it over my mouth but under my nose... for my 10 mile commute this is not that bad, so I didn't return it. I have a pretty normal head size (L helmet size).

Warm and Comfortable
This balaclava is the warmest and most comfortable one I've worn to date! It fits nicely under the helmet and the neck guard keeps out the coldest of winds. I've used mine at 17deg F and have been pleased with the results!

This balaclava is AWESOME! The fit is great. Yeah, it is hard to breathe out of if the lower layer covers your mouth, but not that bad. I move it down so it isn't covering my nose and I can breathe fine. It does a great job keeping the drafts out and keeping me warm.

Needs better design
This product is good. It gives good protection from wind. However, the opening for eyes in not wide enough but is deeper than it should have been. As a result, while often times it covers the corner of the eye. Otherwise, a good product.

Great warmth! It doesn’t seem like much but it makes all the difference in the world. I ride 30 miles to work in north Georgia and so far nothing colder than the 40's. For me it could defiantly fit around my nose and eyes better, but all our heads are different. Regardless the warmth is definitely worth the small discomfort!

Good value for the money
Just had the first test in 25 degree temperatures. Worked great! Kept my neck and chin warm. Good fit under my full face helmet too. Only problem is, it causes my glasses to fog when I'm not moving. Keeps me warm and out of the wind!

This item will keep your face warm. Your neck is covered and under the jacket so your warm there too. Machine wash when needed, folds up small for a pocket if you don't need it. I recommend this product

Got to use the balaclava the other day when it was 30F. Stopped the wind completely and kept me nice and warm. The upper half is thick enough to provide a little extra warmth but still thin enough to not affect the fit of your helmet. This is a great value at less than $20.

This balaclava fits well, is snug, and keeps the face, nose, and neck very warm while riding in the winter. Fits securely under the helmet and makes for a great fit. Breathing is not restricted and it does not feel like you are "boxed in". Has very good protection for the ears as well. Great item!

This is a decent balaclava.It keeps cold wind off your neck.I do still have to wear a neck beanie under it to keep in the heat, and the face covering is kind of annoying how you can’t put it under your chin, it has to be over your nose or just under it.

I was on a recent road trip in northern New Hampshire in late Sept. It can get quite cold at night or even in the daylight hours. I was glad I brought this along in my saddle bag. It worked just fine. I only wished it was a little looser on me. But it took all the sting out of the cold wind

Very happy with product.
Fits very nicely on both head and helmet. Covers nicely on face. Neck protection works well. Tucks into jacket well. Use it whenever it gets chilly, has allowed me to ride earlier in the season. Feels solid, not worried about it tearing or ripping as time moves on at all. Highly recommended.

Don't really care for it
It's not that it is a bad product, it does what it is supposed to do, I just don't like the way it feels over my face. If you breathe out of your mouth, it starts to get damp.

Does a great job of keeping my face ears and neck warm. I generally use it below 40F and have used it down into the low 20's. I like how long the front is, it fits under my jacket easily and the material is thin and not too bulky under the helmet.
