I´ve had my Asterisk cell knee braces for two years now, but already had to replace the rear lacing parts twice. The hollow rivets that the laces run through simply rust and become abrasive, wearing through the laces.
I use them for MX, so of course they get sweaty and wet all the time, but I put them in a drying cabinet after every ride. Still, they rust and break very quickly.

Just picked up MX riding after a 30 year hiatus. Old knee injuries began to plague me immediately. I began looking for some knee protection and settled on the Asterisk knee braces. So far I have had have had them out for two days of pain free riding. They make these 52-year old knees able to deal with the punishment of clearing the doubles and table-tops. Thanks Asterisk and Motorcycle Superstore.

I have only had them for about 2 months but I've used them both snowboarding and riding a fair bit. They are comfortable and easy to put on, and I have not had any problems with them yet but I also have not crashed hard while wearing them, but I'm pretty sure they will hold up fine. They seem to be doing a great job supporting my knees, if you're looking for a pair of good braces I recommend these.
Best set of knee braces I have owned.

I have owned a set of these Asterisk Cell Knee braces for about eighteen months now. I wore them while I trained and raced the Baja 1000. I have abused them and they have been great. I can still walk today because of them. I have tested them against rocks, trees, the ground, cactus and many other objects and they have taking it all. If I wasn’t wearing my braces I probably would have broken my knee cap on some of the rocks that I landed on. I am sure you’re saying I probably shouldn’t crash so much and you’re correct but the sad fact is we all fall or crash at some point.
Asterisk has a great rebuild program if you need to send your braces in for repair once they start to get old or you have a nasty wreck in them. I sent mine in for rebuild and had them back in two weeks.
If you value your knees you should purchase a set of Asterisk. Over all well worth the money and I don’t ride without them.
