Item Description

Thor Motocross Quadrant Knee Guards - 2012

Injection molded 2-piece knee/shin armor for impact coverage. The Thor Quadrant Kneeguard features a perforated foam interior with a stitched-in foam patella donut to caress the knee. The Quadrant Kneeguards are also asymmetrical, so there’s a specific left and right side which match the contour of your legs for improved comfort and a better fit. We finished it off with complete edge binding to prevent chafing, and 2 integrated elastic straps for a secure fit.

I read the positive reviews and wanted to try these out for the street. These are quite comfortable and I can slide my jeans over them without taking the jeans off. Should provide the level of protection I am looking for at a very fair price. Very pleased!

I wish it had one more strap for the knee joint

I have chicken legs so the Velcro strip on the elastic bands is well past where I need it. The knee piece needs its own band, they tend to slip down on my leg. Wish I'd read Holly's description. I'm kinda torn between returning them or getting the straps shortened locally.

I wear these under pants on the street, so I can't pass judgement on their value for off-road protection. What I can say is they are the most comfortable knee guards I've worn. Once on I forget they're there. They stay in place and haven't been too hot for Summer riding. I would give them a "thumbs up" for a moderately protective, moderately priced knee guard.

Very nicely done for its price. Very comfortable, light and breathable, even in summer heat. Slim profile- fit under jeans and business slacks. Haven't tested in a road crash and hope never to, but highly recommended nonetheless.

Very slim, comfy, cool in 90F weather, look sturdy enough to actually assist in case of dismount. Very good value. Can't go wrong.

Great set of pads, but one key design flaw

These pads fit great. They aren't too large, so they don't interfere with my mid-height boots. Full height boots might have some issues though. The internal padding is very comfortable, and stays nice and cool even in humid Florida. The external shell looks to be very sturdy and the two piece design allows for good flexibility. I wear these comfortably under regular jeans, as well as Tourmaster Venture Air pants. My only complaint is with the stitching right at the flexing knee joint. The plastic is sewn to the padding, but in such a way that if you regularly bend your knee pretty far (say 90 degrees or more), the stitching WILL break and eventually come undone. In most situations though, your knees probably won't bend quite that far, but I have a few times, and the stitching has started to come undone on one pad. Nothing major, but an annoyance nonetheless. Overall, I'd still recommend them, with the one caveat.

For the price, these knee guards are pretty darn good. They're comfortable and easy to get on. Finally I got some decent leg protection, something I overlooked for a long time. Only problem I have, though minor, is that these guards don't fit easily under all pants. If you wear something like cargo pants or loose jeans, these should fit under your pants without any problem. If you wear boot-cut or straight jeans though, these will probably have to put over your pants like I do. Not a big issue, but something worth mentioning.

Love the knee guards! haven't felt anything with them on since. I like how they are light and small compared to some of those other big and bulky kind. Only thing is I wish they had one more velcro strap above the knee to help keep them in place on your leg.

Most comfortable knee pads I've ever warn. Won’t chafe. Great protection with the fall test.
