chris elizabethtown,  KY good pants... i like that these pants don't have the elastic in the legs and can be worn for short trail rides without the boots...the turn-your-pants-into-shorts-trick is nice also. Unlike other reviews, I found these pants too big when I ordered a size up. the legs were too long and kinda drag on the ground when I’m not riding. Also the large leg holes seem to rub (and melt) onto my exhaust tubing that passes near the right foot stand. So there are now a few holes in the inner part of my right pant leg bottom now. Other than that, they are great pants for the price.

Nick Mystic Marion,  NC Good buy for the money I already had two other pair of armored pants that cost more than the closeout price on the O'Neal Racing Pants, but figured these would make a good addition to my cycling attire. As previous reviews have indicated the pants are sized small, so you need to get a size larger than you normally wear. I had to buy 32" waist since that's about all that was left when I made my order. That's my real waist size, so my wife had to sew some elastic tucks in the waistband to enlarge them enough to fit properly. I think the pants are of good quality, but I did not read the description carefully and was surprised to find that they did not have any soft armor for protection. They are just slide resistant, but that is certainly better than just wearing a pair of jeans. One problem I did encounter had to do with rubbing on the sides of my gas tank. There is a juncture where several seams come together with some piping material on the inside of the thighs right where my legs contact the rear sides of my gas tank. After a few rides I noticed the rough material was scuffing the clear coat on my tank. I was fortunate to spot the damage in time to fix most of it with several coats of wax. I hand sewed two circular patches over the offending spots using some soft velvet material and that appears to have solved the problem.

Gurp Vancouver,  BC Didnt Fit Great pants but they didnt fit. I wear size 34 waist jeans but the 34 size A-10 pants didnt fit. So buy the next size and use the side straps to fit.

Clug Palo Alto,  CA O'neal A-10 pants Great buy! I purchased them on close-out so my review may be slightly biased on cost benefit... They run a little small in the waist. I wear a 34, bought a 36 and they fit like my fox 34s. They have elastic/velcro synch straps so I suggest going up at least one size larger. The cut is roomy and 4 zip pockets are sweet for the things you gotta have on the trail. Also notice they have great breathability through the front which is great on hot days. They are not as bulky as my fox's so we'll see how they hold up. Right now, I don't see any downside to these pants.
