Paul Annapolis,  MD Great boot After 8K miles I still really like this boot and would buy it again, but it is still in great shape. The most comfortable motorcycle boot I've owned (of about 10 pairs).Not the sexiest or highest style, but I walked four miles in them (a long story) at one point without them hurting. More protection than a touring boot but less than a MX boot. The lack of a zipper makes it a great moderate dual sport boot. The replaceable sole means you will own it a long time. My only gripe is that they replaced the Gaerne special closures with the industry-standard ones that open much easier (like when going through sage brush)

jp columbia,  SC Awesome Flexible enough to shift with ease, very light, enough protection unless you race motocross and have to worry about someone running over your foot. I'm 40 years old and woods ride with my older friends very aggressively.... these are perfect for every style of riding except motorcross racing. These boots have been used hard and show no wear signs at all. They seem to run 1/2 size large.

Heidi Still Yuma,  AZ Gaerne Oiled Boot - For the HIGH price I expected a lot more protection. Cheap ATV boots provide a HUGE amount of ankle protection compared to these. I do not think they are all that great. My Oxtar boots for 1/2 the price are water proof and provide the same amount of protection for duel sport riding. For protection and ease of walking for duel sport riding look at FOX and other boots for 1/2 the price.
